Tremendous talent in Pokey and his band. I have yet to find a song by him that I don't enjoy.... And the gal in this video is absolutely home grown pretty ! Not caked on make up, just naturally beautiful....

Pokey LaFarge is an incredible musician, his lyrics are beautiful and definitely unique ! 🎼 I became a devoted fan three years ago when I discovered his music while listening to different Jazz and Blues bands.. 🎶

Just found Pokey, interestingly enough on Spotify while listening to Amy Winehouse radio. I’m hooked, this song is sooo beautiful, can’t stop playing it.

My husband says this is the song stuck in his head constantly. We met he didn't have a car, I was broken and poor.... It's perfect, he just got out of the Navy and moved here with antifriends....

There is a movie on Netflix called The Devil All The Time And Pokey plays a preachers brother who is confined to a wheelchair! It is set in this time for his music style! It was a beautiful tragedy of a movie..........brilliantly portrayed by all actors!

that’s how I got introduced tonight, WOW. Started pouring through his catalogue. Literally the best new music I’ve heard in the last 20 years. This song in particular is on league with Louis Armstrong’s “what a wonderful world” for tugging at the heartstrings. It’s on the wedding playlist. Great flick btw.

Just seen him live for the 3rd time in SF last week, already bought tickets for his show in Santa Cruz in August for my birthday!
