If you look at the Z A, the Z has Zygarde’s hexagonal scales, but the A has a unique pattern. New A-Themed Legendary perhaps?

Of all of the regions to get a Legends game, it makes a certain sense to finally finish Kalos’ story at least. It didn’t matter too much to me which one was next though, because my favorite region already got one! (Sinnoh!)

While it didn't specify, I still think it may be an early in the year release rather than a fall one, which is why they did an early announcement. Arceus came out in January, and while it's not an absolute, it does set a precedent for this game

How are so many people missing the RE part of Redevelopment. That implies that Lumiose and Kalos have been around for a while. It’s possible this takes place AFTER X and Y

It's either a turn of the century redevelopment plan (like 1920s aesthetic) or it's set in the future And the fact it's legends and the city blueprints were on parchment paper id assume it's the former. Turn of the century Kalos will be cool tho, a LOT of cool stuff to explore

The trailer itself looked futuristic as well, so that could hint at a future story instead of one in the past.

I highly doubt it given other details, like the paper planning sheet and the fact that everything was rendered in a sort of wireframe like in architectual plans. I am pretty confident this is set when they are turning whatever settlement existed there into the Lumiose we know. We know the history of the area goes back thousands of years, there is no reason to think Lumiose is a brand new settlement.

I just want to say, just because the dlc was seemingly hinting at Unova remakes doesn't necessarily mean it was gonna be the next game. The pattern has always been that remakes are always every 2 gens.I'm sure Unova remakes will happen, just not til Gen 10.

The remakes would not come out before the new generation games. Also, just because the new Legends game comes out in 2025 doesn't mean it'll release in November. Legends could release early 2025 with gen 10 coming out November that same year. The possible remakes would come out the following year or so.

Everyone was expecting some kind of gen 2 or gen 5 game. And with all the johto related stuff in this presents it seemed more likely for gen 2. Then they side swiped us with pokemon legends for gen 6 and the return of mega evolutions.

In all honesty, Tom, I see you as a voice of reason within the pokemon community. A legends game set in kalos seems more plausible, especially since from a technical standpoint and all of the gen 5 teasers. A gen five remake is gonna be more difficult with four games that have to be remade, and main stories that belong to both sets are gonna be hard to stitch together that also has to make sense from a gameplay perspective. Since B/W and B2/W2 have a two year time skip between them. I just dont think a gen five remake would be possible until 2026, if even. The biggest feature that made black 2 and white 2 fun was the game link feature. You could port over so much more content from the prequels. That was optional, mind you. Both the prequels and sequels would have to be remade separately since the sequels can stand on their own, just without main story context if someone somehow didn't play the prequels.

The redevelopment actually makes sense, real world Paris was completely redeveloped in the closing years of the 1800s. I mean entire blocks destroyed complete redevelopment.

considering we don't have a full Pokemon release announced for this year, I think they are waiting until maybe mid-spring or summer to announce gen 5 remakes for fall or winter, especially if they are holding off ZA for the next console

In hindsight, Gen 5 is wildly beloved with the fandom, so it makes sense honestly to give something to Gen 6 which I feel like is the most underdeveloped, underutilized, and weakest generation outside of the fan love for Mega Evolutions. Without megas, would anyone even like or remember or frankly care about gen 6? Giving more to it to help flesh out that region is greatly appreciated.... Especially because now Kalos has a neighbor to the north and a neighbor to the South that didn't exist in Gen 6!

It feels like a Looney Tunes gag. Bugs saying it's Duck season (Legends: Kyurem/Unova), Daffy saying it's "wabbit" season (Legends: Celebi/Johto)... until they unconver that it's actually Elmer Fudd season (Legends: Z-A).

Personally, I'm hoping that Z-A is a Fall 2025 release with a full reveal for Pokémon Day next year, with Gen. X following in mid-to-late 2027. Give Game Freak time to actually make the games *good* please and thank you. (With the anime getting a fresh new reboot, now would be the time to adjust the pace of a generation.)

Legends z-a I don't think takes place in the past, it must take place in modern times, cause the city is getting renovated, wasnt in x and y were the city blocks blocked off alot and being remodeled?

Why does the transition into the Unite segment feel laggy? It's a pre-rendered video with pre-rendered transitions.

It’s too soon for a Unova remake. There were 7-8 years between ORAS and BDSP/Arceus, and 4 years between HG/SS and ORAS. It’s barely been two years since legends arceus.

Gen 5 remakes are still way too early, normally it's 5-7 years between remakes. Also the next gen is due so...we're looking at PLAZ in 2025, Gen 10 in 2026 (for the 30th anniversary), and gen 5 remakes in 2027

I had some xp with Motion Capture for vid games and gotta say new Pokemons have such fluid and cool animations and movement choreography. It's such a small but imprtant detail and such a big step up from these GameBoy games. Ps. You almost saw me as Leon in these new Resident Evil games :)

Okay the idea of Raikou, who along with Entei could be put to sleep during encounters meaning _every encounter after they were running around sound asleep_ is amusing to me. I expect that's where the idea came from (or I'd hope so). As for Legends Za, they probably didn't have much choice, thanks to Palworld. People have been getting on at them about how it's better than what they've produced, especially in the last few years. Having SOMEthing is better than radio silence, I'd imagine.

I wish they would just bring back triple and rotation battles. It was the greatest concept of battling I have enjoyed in a long while, and sorely missing that battle style.

First Legends has a confusing name "Ars-eus" or "Arc-eus" now the new one is confusing people into thinking it's "Z A" or "Z to A"

even when gen 5 gets a remake (which only happens in even numbered gens), people have put gen 5 on such a pedestal that i find it unlikely people, at least a large group, will be happy with it. also, gen 5 already had sequel games, and gen 6 was the only game to not have sequels or dlc. not having a "pokemon z" basically left it unfinished- it needed this.
