@KGKSkull They managed it with Dual Destinies, Spirit of Justice, and both Great Ace Attorney games. When you think about it, every Ace Attorney (past the original trilogy on GBA) were all designed with dual screens in mind. That includes Investigations.

The blue guy with green neon was Sylux, from Prime Hunters. He was also in Corruption's ending teasing him as the big bad of the next Prime game.

btw the danganronpa studio has gone into debt making the hundred line. they've really enjoyed making it and the main producer decided to just drop the game so instead of canceling it they were like 'nah we'll take out a loan to get this baby finished and have fun.' so hopefully the game does well because if not, the studio will most likely go under.

I went into this Direct with absolutely no expectations, and got just about everything I could have hoped for.

That box blowing from the wind in Echoes of Wisdom, and that fire spreading. Makes me wonder if they added at least a limited aspect of the Physics/Chemistry engine into what was the Link's Awakening remake engine. I could see that as part of some true experimental stuff for a 2D Zelda entry.

Yeah. Seems all the Switch Mario Party games, made for the system, has online play for the boardgames. Even had the ability to save off and continue an online multiplayer game.

The NWC game had been announced everywhere, I believe. My guess is that they were originally planning to save the announcement for this Direct, but then people noticed that the ESRB website had a listing for it already posted, so they had to get something official out fast.

This was genuinely one of the best directs in years, I’m still reeling from

fantasian was originally on Apple Arcade so it’s only new to consoles it originally came out 2021

I was already excited when they showed a new Mario and Luigi game coming our way, and I’m intrigued by the new Mario Party and Zelda games, but an Ace Attorney Investigations collection?! First the Great Ace Attorney duology got an official English release, and now Investigations 2 is getting one? Sweet!

They finally remembered that the Edgeworth games exist!

You had Zelda: Nuts and Bolts, but now get ready for: LittleLinkPlanet!

I was watching my friend stream this and we were both pleasantly surprised, I’m definitely looking forward to the new Mario Party, DKC, Zelda: Four Swords Remake and the Miles Edgeworth games (being the AA fan that I am lol). They definitely cooked with this Direct, man, and I love it

I have seen so many reactions to this direct; Tom is the _only_ one who heard "fusion summon" during Farmagia and made a Yu-Gi-Oh joke. Y'ALL ARE SLIPPIN'.

Hey Tom, like they specified in the message, DQ3 time-wise happened before 1 and 2 so story is best experienced in the order of 3, 1 and then 2 to get the full Erdrick story in order.

Echoes of wisdom has a familiar castle. A place to the east with several large rocks. Feels like something is linking me to the past.

I'm not sure this is another ALttP game. It could be, considering the artstyle, but it feels so different. By bets are a new generation of Link & Zelda set between Triforce Heroes and Zelda 1.

I’m actually thinking it might be Minish Cap/Four Swords related. In all Zelda games, Death Mountain is either center or east in mainland Hyrule (only in Zelda II is it on the southern end of Hyrule though)…except for OG Legend of Zelda and the Four Swords trilogy wherein Death Mountain or its analogues is in the west (center-west for FSA). What’s more, you have plateaus in the east which is similar to Minish Cap’s NE region as that’s where Biggoron lives in that game. Also interesting, this is the first Zelda game where we have two distinctly different Zoras in the same game. There’s the River Zora or Zola from LoZ/ALttP/ALBW and then the more modern ones that look like a mix between OoT/MM/OoA’s and BotW/TotK’s.

That was Sylux that showed up in Prime 4, another Hunter, he was in Prime Hunters on DS and at the end of Prime 3. He was following Samus at the end of Prime 3.

No lie, that was literally me with Perfect Dark. Both anticipating and getting. Complete with recognizing that logo.

I for one can't wait to turn Zelda into the worlds most powerful Necromancer and save Hyrule with an army of Redeads and potentially StalBoys.

I suspect there will be a Fall Direct where they formally announce the Switch 2, as well as Metroid Prime 2 (& maybe 3) Remaster, possibly even doing a shadow drop like they did with MP 1.

With the missile launcher shown being in the style of Prime 2/3 and not the one from Remastered, I’m hoping that’s an indication that 2/3 remastered is in the works as kind of a biproduct of them getting Prime 4’s engines and physics down beyond what Prime 1 Remastered has established.

14:49 Arusu is his (default) name. "Erdrick" is merely a title that he gets at the very end of the story. It's also a title that the Heroes of I and II get.

4:02 The "design" is some default font in green on black. Let's be clear here, while it's a great tool that made speedrunning so much easier UI design wasn't much of a priority.

Sadly I’m not likely to play any of these new announcements except for Prime 4, I am SO HYPED for that one!

incidentally, if you've never played a SaGa game, they're really interesting. the battles appear to be simple turn-based, but there are systems stacked on systems stacked on etc, etc... if you wanted to check one out, I'd recommend either SaGa: Scarlet Grace or SaGa: Emerald Beyond, both of which are available on the Switch or Steam. Scarlet Grace is an upscale of a Vita game from 2016, and is a lot of fun. Emerald Beyond just came out back in April, and I haven't gotten a chance to check it out yet. It's the first new SaGa game since Scarlet Grace came out, so there was a lot of excitement for it.

The thing thats wild for me is how they had a Direct this stacked in whar everyone assumed was goinf to be a prerty dire drought period for the Switch. What all are they cooking for Switch 2 if they have this much in the pipeline for Switch?

40:58 Between you and AntDude, I don’t get why people thought this was a Prime 2 remake after the Gunship appears. The Gunship in Prime 2 is the same as the Gunship in Prime 1 (is the same as the Gunship in Samus Returns, Super, and the prologue of Fusion, so it’s not a new Gunship every time. Plus Fusion’s and Dread’s are the same). Also the Gunship in Prime 2 doesn’t fly off unlike the one here because it was damaged in an atmospheric storm during its descent and needs the entirety of the game to perform auto-repairs. Also Samus doesn’t land in the middle of an active combat zone in Prime 2. That’s closer to Prime 3. About the only thing in common Prime 4 seems to have with Prime 2 is the look of the Missile Launcher in both games. Otherwise everything else from the HUD to the environments are different.

I'm actually interested in Farmagia and the Shire game, and they're both coming to steam.

Theres already a Lego set of the Tallneck from Horizon, which are like giant giraffes with radar dish heads. They are one of the many reasons why I personally feel Horizon stands out from typical open world trope, cause they are literally the towers, and clombing each one is a trial or puzzle.

Honestly? The best Direct we've had in a long time. I can't think of one that comes close.

It’s not; the window isn’t as wide and narrow as 3’s gunship, and the wings look more disjointed from the main body of the ship rather than being a part of it if that makes sense. If anything, 4’s gunship is the most it’s looked like Samus’s Helmet out of all the gunships in the series.

Honestly I'm most interested in Mario Party and some of the RPGs and the Miles Edgeworth games (which I somehow forgot about).

Man, remember when the "E3 season" was pretty much a wash? When Keeley said "don't expect anything mind blowing" from SGF? Well, apparently Nintendo took that personally. There is SO MUCH from this direct I'm excited for. The new Zelda looks freaking AWESOME. While I don't play Dangan Ronpa, it's interesting to see a game centered around the forces of Hope, rather than what the Forces of Despair are doing. I'm still not a fan of how Mario & Luigi transitioned to 3D, the art style just feels... off to me. But I DON'T CARE, NEW MARIO AND LUIGI GAME! Four swords on NSO would be fun to play with friends, shame I only have one to play with at best. Metroid Prime 4, a cool looking Mario Party, etc etc. OH RIGHT, Fantazia: Neo Dimension, that whole "aiming" mechanic, and dimension pocket is going to make grinding exp SO MUCH fun for me. This direct was STACKED. It's funny to realize the only disappointing announcements are the Lego Horizon game, another Just Dance, and a Looney Toons sports game.

I know this is more of a Nintendo based channel so the other ones take priority (don’t get me wrong I’m excited too) but…. OFFICIAL MVC COLLECTION AAAAAAAAAAA

People are 100% gonna be super reluctant to accept the new official names for Investigations 2-now dubbed "Prosecutor's Gambit", by the way. Already saw very upset reactions towards the few we know of, including Eddie Fender (Raymond Shields), Eustace Winner (Sebastian Debeste), and Knight & Rook (Knightley & Rooke, obviously). EDIT: I stand corrected. "Very upset" is kind of an understatement when describing the general stance on Eustace in particular.

Eddie is the worst of the bunch revealed so far because of what they gave up for an AAI case 4/AA6 tier pun. Everyone else is either a step up (Tabitha, Verity), lateral (Burnie), or a step down but understandable and acceptable (Knight, Rook, Eustace, whose full name I hope will lead to some clever butchering on the part of Burnie as that couldn’t happen with “Sebastian” in the fan translation)

A little surprised there wasn't more on the new Legends game but that could mean one of two thing: 1) Pokemon will have their own separate thing to announce it, or 2) it's just coming that late next year.

@@ruick78 yeah I agree the idea does seem well for the engine and style. I figured out later that my main problem is it seems to be a game where you play as Zelda, but that doesn't seem to mean anything since you could play the game as Link and it'd be no different because of the gimmick.

Does anyone else confuse this guy with NicoB? Or is it just me?

The direct started out so well but then kinda went downhill fast. Couple of ups in the middle but it was mostly downs for me
