If you're a collector and in the hobby for the long term is a good time to buy. If you're a flipper then you missed the boat. Unless you're holding evo skies. Personally I'd get any alt arts from evo that you can while you can. Booster boxes are hitting over 600 USD and Umbreon is closing in on 600. Pretty insane, so for many cards of the swsd era it's now or never. 5+ years from now many will look back and realize how special that era was as well as how phenomenal the art work and singles should rise. Maybe not release prices but for some of the more obscure maybe.
buy buy buy! for the next boom. I bought 10 lugia v alt arts and sitting on them. I have a feeling its going to be the next aquapolis with the art so good. It's like a combo of aquapolis and shining gyarados. I picked up at 89-100 dollars during the "busted chest" era. That special chest that had guarantee ultra rares 100% of the time.
Lugia dove because of those broken god boxes. But thats good. As an OG that got to live and rip 1st Ed WotC cards, I feel obligated to remind you youngens that I was able to complete the original sets with kid allowance money.

For a long time now people think all Pokémon is a get rich glitch nothing could be further from the truth. With time it might get you some profit but if you really want to get gains get gold and silver not shiny cardboard. Pokémon is more for collectors not the money bros. Purchase what you like and can afford.
Ive own some of my cards for nearly 30 years and I was just buying because I liked them not to try and make money on them and if there still worth anything then great but not interested in selling them.
I just bought the Giratina V in a PSA10 for 560$. I am pretty sure this card will go up in value to maybe 900$?! And if not... it's just an amazing card!!

It’s arguably the second most iconic card from the sword & shield era. Definitely one to look out for.
Hello, great video! I am deciding between Lost origin BB / PSA 10 Alt Art Giratina. BB as pure investment, Giratina would be my collector dream with investment upside. Given these charts and LO specifics (trainer gallery etc.) , do you think BB will do better in range of 5 years? I probably would sell any time earlier.

Hi, all prices are from PriceCharting & TCGplayer. Umbreon has dipped quite a bit after its April 2023 high of $632 USD. Went as low as $491 in October 2023. It’s slightly bounced back now though.

Never fancied the lugia V alt art. Something is off with its tail & ratios.
Celebi v alt art being only $25 is wild to me it should be like double that probably the nicest card in the set

I was CONVINCED the market would turn from the Moonbreon, and make RayRay the center of ES. Maybe in the future, but yeah. I remember when Rayquaza was THE card in Evolving Skies at release. Great video bro!

I'm almost done with my 151 masterset. After that i'm going on a buying spree in the sword and shield era. Not these cards though i have something else i mind.
I wish I had a little more money to invest in some of these top cards lol.
