Poka Yoke: 4 Steps of How to Set up Mistake Proofing 【Toyota Production System】
This episode's theme is "Poka Yoke" which is said to aim for zero defects. Since we are all human, everyone makes mistakes. However, mistakes in business could lead to major losses or safety issues. Ideas and techniques that ensure mistakes never happen are called Poka Yoke. In the manufacturing industry, there are two types of Poka Yoke: Control Poka Yoke and Warning Poka Yoke. I think that so far Poka Yoke has not been considered for service operation improvement projects much, even though it gives us many hints. Therefore, please learn and use these Poka Yoke concepts in service operation improvements. So, where should we start for that? This video will explain the 4 Steps of how to set up Poka Yoke.
