Rather strange that his ace is Blaziken when there’s more emphasis on his relationship with Magmortar. I love Magmortar too but, competitively speaking, I do acknowledge that Blaziken is better given its Fire/Fighting-typing plus Speed Boost as its hidden ability.

I like Crispin, but he's not my favorite. If I would rank the 4 member of the BB Elite four, it'll be like this: Lacey > Crispin > Drayton > Amarys Though Amary and Drayton are pretyy much tied. And I love all 4. Eveb my least favorites.

I wouldn't be surprised if Drayton accused Carmine, to her face, that she did something that turned Kieran into what he is at the start of Indigo Disk. Hell, I imagine Lacey, Amarys and Crispin might have to restrain them before things went to hell.

Honestly, the strongest elite 4 in history Rarely have we ever had to build a team that worked well in double battles. I had to pair dondozo + kilowattrel for the rain dance / thunder, tinkaton + baxcalibur for the stealth rock/dragontail

Lacy was my biggest problem, Alcremie was buffing Slowbro and Excadrill too much the first time, so I switched my Quaquaval, Toedscruel and Lokix out for Cornerstone Ogerpon, Gengar and Ghouldengo just for the fight afterwards I brought back Quaquaval in exchange for Gengar and Lokix replaced my Tinkaton

Definitely better than I anticipated. A very well rounded group of elite 4 members.

Unlike many people's experiences, I found Lacey to be the most difficult. Her Granbull was a pain to take down, but her strategy with Alcremie Decorating Slowbro and Excadrill was far worse. When that Alcremie isn't decorating, it's spamming Recover and Giga Drain. Had I not eventually taken down her Alcremie, I would have been doomed.

to add to that, I couldn't take out her whimsicott on turn 1 due to its focus sash which led to it setting up both light screen and tailwind. primarina's hyper voice-throat spray also completely caught me off guard.

Bitch molly whopped me THREE. TIMES!!! I had originally come to her with a steel type oriented team and Granbull fire fucked me. I also am a screen whore…which meant for my Reuniclus, Primarina and Slowbro were nightmares!!!! When the throat spray kicks in…it’s over. Screens will not protect you from shit there. I had to knock the throat spray off.

That thing ALMOST wiped my entire team in my Nuzlocke.

Flygon life orb and Sceptile weakness policy gave me a heart attack

We got a ton of great canonically unovan characters from these dlcs and im hoping we get some black and white related game and they all play a prominent role especially carmine and kieran. Its criminal you cant find them anywhere after you beat indigo disk. I want a carmine super boss damn it

I had really fun with these battles U struggled with all four of them with a competitive trained team switching some pokemons in the team here and there The most difficult for me was lacey because i didn't expect slowbro and quick claw gaming Also the fire one but mostly because of rotom

Lacey and Drayton royally kicked my ass. Drayton was so tough I brought in some of my paldean team members to make quick work with Haxorus and Kingdra. I nearly had to with Lacey. Crispin and Amarys were easier to beat

Slowbro wasn't much of an issue for me, but that's mostly because I had Ogerpon out, and I knew the AI couldn't resist a STAB Super Effective move, making for an easy bait into a neutral hit thanks to Tera. My big issue was Amarys's Reuniclus, what with it packing an Energy Ball to instantly KO my Swampert, and Trick Room to make her entire team outspeed mine.

Bro the steel type girl was HARD- she gave me so much trouble, it was TOUGH.

The trainer and wild Pokemon were both remakes of black and white’s themes, so I I was half expecting the elite 4 theme in this game to be a remix of B&W’s theme. Don’t get me wrong I like this theme, but a remake of Gen 5’s Elite 4 theme would’ve been GODLY.

I was looking forward to this SO much since it's my favourite E4 theme in the franchise 😭 Gen 5's next for "remakes" -whatever form that takes- so im sure we'll get a remix eventually... I just hope the games are good...

I love hearing the musical influences/beats from the Gen 4 Legendary Battle Theme, and Gen 8 GMAX Gym Battle theme in this!

I knew there was a Sinnoh theme in this somehow. I thought it was the Sinnoh gym leader theme though

It feels so nice to be challenged throughout an entire playthrough in a Pokémon game even if it's tied to just DLC. Crispin was the hardest for me. I lost once and I only won the second time because of quick claw. I nearly lost every major battle afterwards aside from Drayton who I beat with 3 Pokémon remaining. Though he only had himself to blame for that thanks to the team he made me build.

Lacey gave me PTSD over Fairy-types. I needed to make a second go on her! But I was able to get the other three on the first try (though I needed to redo Crispin’s trial).

Lacey's rematch team is straight up brutal. Granted, I don' have a competitive team, but fact remains that Lacey nearly defeated my team of level 100s.

Lacey nearly wiped my ass and I had level 100s, including Ogerpon. And a Kingambit, who in retrospect I should’ve sent out last.

They say type advantages alone don't decide the outcome of the battle, but let's be real here, they are pretty much your best friend in these battles, you likely will not win without super effective moves and superior speed, unless you get very lucky. Even with Level 100s, you'll be LUCKY to one-shot any of them. Screw any strategy you might have, because the AI in these battles is smart and MERCILESS! If and when it finds a vulnerability it will aim directly at it and puncture your whole plan. Be careful. Be smart with your placements and matchups and you will eventually best them. Like I said the AI is unforgiving, it's so smart that it feels like you're playing against an actual human opponent.

The best approach is finding out which of their pokemon are the bigger threats and prioritizing eliminating them over the others. Fire is the best option for Amarys, fighting and ground too, get rid of the Skarmory and Dugtrio quickly as possible, big threats to Fighting and Ground, then Empoleon who can easily wipe out your fire types. If all goes well then you can safely take out the rest. Lacey has more coverage for her weaknesses but the biggest threats are the Primarina and Galarian Slowbro, as you've likely seen already. Primarina has low physical defense so you could probably one-shot with Thunder Punch. When the Slowbro appears, either get rid of it quickly or get your own disadvantaged steel pokemon out of there, once they're both gone, you can go in for the win. Charizard is a good option against Amarys but don't send him in until after the Alolan Dugtrio and Empoleon are gone. If you don't get rid of the Dugtrio, it will outspeed you and go for a Stone Edge on the Charizard and one shot it, unless it misses. The Empoleon is there to take down your Fire Types, take it down quick.

Man I am so glad I went into these fights limiting myself to no potions or revives, these fights were actually challenging! Wiped to Lacey so many times. Shoutout to the Follow Me Pachirisu + Hisuian Arcanine Perrin gave me, as well as the Sludge Wave Tentacruel + Banded Alolan Sandslash strats I had to use just to win these fights haha. Proof GF can make challenging fights if they actually give the teams held items and strategy. Please give us more double battles!

i wanna say some of them were easy, but my pokemon were a bit overleveled + i used healing items. my team wasnt bad, but the elite 4 for this game is brutal

AMARYS RANKED #4 MY ASS A Dugtrio can outspeed most of your team and fuck it up fast Skarm with sneaky pebbles, sturdy, and whirlwind spam Oh fuck you knocked me out Reinuniclus Trick room setup as plan B Empoleon with stab hydro and fucking GRASS KNOT for coverage Scissor protecting it's weakness to fire with an Occa berry Metagross with Terra steel just to have those STAB attacks his harder. Legit lost to her 3 times . Had to whip out Angry Piggy to delete her heavy hitters and still was down to 2 mons. Mind you I don't use legends or anything either . No fun.

This makes me so hyped to face the elite four once my new team to take them all down is ready!!!

This theme reminds me a lot of the unused beta version of the Gen 7 Elite 4 Theme that was showcased before Sun and Moon came out

I loved these fights so much! I went in with a hardcore rain team for my entire playthrough of the game and by god seeing the text 'Drayton sent out Kingdra!' followed by 'Drayton sent out Archaludon!' I nearly shat my pants

You get an Earthquake! You get an Earthquake! Everybody gets an Earthquake!

Everyone in the comments having varying opinions on who was hardest is is a good sign of this elite four’s quality But everyone seems to agree it wasn’t Crispin (ironically he’s the only one that wiped me, but I wasn’t working with a full team)

Why does this music slap so hard

They have harder to beat teams than the Paldea elite four. Loved that.

Really liked how you had to pretty much build a new team for all of the bbe4. Really scratched that team building itch

I love this elite four so much! Not only are they interesting and engaging characters, they are also very challenging too! Each of them left me with only one pokemon on my team left standing. So glad I’m not playing a nuzlocke 😅

I struggled with Amarys because I didn’t really have anything for her besides 1 Pokémon. I also had to restart on Drayton once, but I beat him after.

Amarys and Lacey gave me huge problems, even with the team I had prepared. Slowking was my last pokemon standing against Lacey, and somehow clutched a win LOL

With all these unova mix’s in the DLC I really thought I was gonna hear the black and white elite 4 theme

I went into this dlc expecting to be bored(since I really, REALLY didn't enjoy Teal mask), but these fights blew me away at how fun they were. I actually had to use my brain during them.

Honestly, if they pull the same thing in gen 10 (an all-right DLC followes by something as awesome as Indigo Disc) then count me pre-emtively hyped.

I was so excited for double battles and Unova music that I fought every single random trainer I came across, and after just a couple of them I quickly realized I *desperately* needed to step up my game to stand a chance And the elite 4 cemented that, if I hadn’t gone into them with a cohesive team strategy I would’ve been *demolished*

Crispin caught me off guard so hard, didn't expect this kind of challenge in the dlc.

Rare opinion, but Crispin gave me the most trouble, only beating him on my 5th try. Lacey took 3, Amarys took 2, and Drayton took 1. To be fair, I started with Crispin and my team of slow defensive pokemon was a little underleveled, but losing to him over and over was a real wake-up call.

In terms of who gave me the most troublle to thenone who gave me the least... I'd say: Amarys > Lacey > Crispin > Drayton.

It’s been so long an elite 4 gave me a ton of difficulty, and I missed that feeling of facing formidable opponents (I’m raising a new team)

Anyone noticed how each of the Elite Four member's speciality is strong against the one above him/her? Crispin (Fire) > Amarys (Steel) > Lacey (Fairy) > Drayton (Dragon)

This theme screams here we are generation 9 ...WELCOME TO VGC !!!

Amarys wasn't a problem at all?! LACEY on the other hand with those support Pokémon had me fuming on the rematch

The first fights of the BBE4 were not VERY hard for me and the only one I had trouble with was Amarys but it's only because I haven't even EV trained all my team members yet but even that was not hard. But in the E4 rematch Drayton took away half of my team but Lacey was even easier now

I used this against Kieran before Flip Turning out when my Duck was at red HP

This theme is incredibly stressful, lmao.

Even with a more competitively geared team, I still struggled immensely against these guys. Amarys in particular came down to a 1v1 of my Pelliper (I was doing a rain team, don't judge) vs Metagross that I would've lost if she didn't miss the Zen Headbutt.

Lacey.. Took so many.. attempts...

For the first time this game, i actually wiped to Drayton (not even Kieran could best me). His Archaludon felt unbelively broken especially when paired alongside Sceptile.

I only had trouble with the dragon guy

Crispen really swept my team before I beat him. Not even my Meowscarada got past that eggecutor

Archaludon is an absolute beast my god.

The random alolan grimes I caught for my assignment ended up CARRYING me so hard with toxic+minimize in all these battles, ESPECIALLY DRAYTONS. These battle were a good difficulty and most of this DLC was great (besides shiny lock legends and those GOSH DARN STUPID BBQs)

amarys having the best new move plus steel type easily makes her the hardest, Drayten's battle was kind of disappointing in comparison

They might be the strongest Elite Four next to BDSP's. Because they put up one *Hell* of a fight.

*Dugtrio used Earthquake* *It doesn’t affect the foes Skarmory* *Leaves both of my Skeledirge’s and Pawmot’s HP in the red*

All these people who say Crispin was the hardest clearly didn't have an adamant lvl 100 baxcalibur with thermal exchange and earthquake...

How do I extend music?

For me the hardest is Amarys... She is hard and annoying... I hate her... Drayton was second. Crispin the third and Lacey is very easy... I just torture her Slowbro SLOWly(pun not intended) with curse, burned and confusion

I have a personal vendetta against Lacey. That godless Slowbro got THREE quick draws in a row. Melted my Tinakton with Flamethrower (Crit) Then proceeded to snipe my Ogerpon with a Shell Side Arm. And finished it up with a psychic on my Annihilape. And I couldn't get enough damage because of Whimsicott's Reflect/Light Screen.

For me Amarys was the easiest while Lacey is the Hardest

Hey fellow Prince Noctis, watch out for these Nintendo OSTs, as there have been channels in the past that have gotten demonetized or taken down. Especially Pokemon and Smash Ultimate lately. Just looking out for you.
