I had a extremely hard time defeating the fighting and psychic elite 4 members because they countered my entire team

Out of all the characters in Pokémon that aren't a Champion but could perform at or beyond the level of one, Caitlin absolutely has to be on that list. She was a Frontier Brain that was essentially banned from battling for being too powerful on her own accord, and went on to gain an Elite Four position 12 years later in Unova, even showing the capability of performing on the same level as a top-tier Champion in Cynthia in the anime. She even has a psuedo-legendary on her team like most Champions do in the form of Metagross. Pokémon absolutely loves foreshadowing future games, and upon learning that Caitlin has a very interesting hidden line of dialogue in Cynthia's villa... Many people are expecting Unova remakes in the next generation or two, but it's definitely possible she could return in the region after that. I'm just saying, you never know.

She took me MONTHS to finally beat! Ended up disliking the Psychic type up until around a year ago to getting a shiny Ralts from a random egg. Psychic Pokémon went from being disliked to favourite quite quickly when going through a second playthrough of Sword with her on the team.

This is the first time I ever felt intimidated by the E4 because we couldn’t use any Legendaries in the main story so 10 year old me didn’t had a win button. I had to work with what I had.

actually, you can but you have to get out of your way to find them. Also, they aren't box legendaries, but Cobalion etc. are still formidable for sure, but yeah, they aren't autowin buttons which is great. And the box legendary gets eaten by a hydra

the gen 5 Elite Four is the only group to make me feel like i shouldn't be there as soon as i enter the center room

One of the Best themes ever. The beats are so fast intense and Perfectly rhymed, it never gets old and ages. It's also very Quirky as you expect from Pokémon, I like it far more than any of Sword and Shields battle themes. It's a Masterpiece.

Funny, because I was _very_ disappointed by this song. It doesn't feel intense enough to me. It's not catchy either. A shame, because the Hoenn E4 theme was _extremely_ good and even the Sinnoh one was fine, if lazy, as it was still very intense and kept you on your toes. This feels more like a theme for... I dunno, a quirky, mysterious evil team's admin, I guess? Not even that, to be honest.

This Elite Four is by far- my most favorite.

If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times. Gen 5 was peak Pokémon. Because of bangers like this. It conveys the sense of staking everything on one battle.

I remember struggling so much on Caitlyn the first time in the league, I had a Braviary, Golurk, Emboar, Caraccosta, Darmanitan, and Volcarona. I was young back then and most of them only had 1-2 move types. Caitlyn countered Emboar and Golurk, Darmanitan couldnt handle the hits well, Braviary got one shot, and Volcarona and Caraccosta was okay at dealing with them. So you can BET I spammed potions and revives.

When you hear this music for the first time, you know you’re going to have your ass handed to you.

the most challenging elite 4 in the entire franchise.. there will always be a 1 or 2 pokemon on your team that will be rendered useless in the entire fight

I remember as a kid I only focused on my tepig so he got to level 80 by the time I got to e4. Needless to say it took a while.

My team for my first Black 2 hardcore nuzlocke against these 4: Paraphina (Chandalure with shadow ball, physic and expert belt) Shifu (Mienshao with inner focus, high jump kick and wide lens) Darth Sand (Krookodile with Moxie and chesto berry) Titanius (Excadrill with sitrus berry) Robby (Crobat with roost, confuse ray and flying gem with acrobatics, loophole I found on KZread) Entulon (Golduck with Psychic and Twistedspoon) I was planning on using Asterozoa (Starmie) instead but he died because of a critical hit from Hugh. That counters them pretty effectively except critical hits from Marshall. Starmie would have been better because it’s stronger and faster, so it could hold a focus sash against sturdy Sawk with payback. By the way, in my battle against Iris Darth Sand died because of a critical hit, ruining my planned set up, so I decided to sacrifice low health Titanius to save my team. Everyone else survived.

I remember when my team was gone with the earthquake of krookodile, i spend more than 6 revives in this battle lol

This is awesome! *Original comment:* I'll be honest, after hearing so many bangers that confirmed the "Gen 5 music hits different" meme, I was expexting this song to blow me away, or at least be good.
