Awesome video Vespiquen is always fun to see in playthroughs because of how hard it is to get a female Steel Wormadam is actually really good so too bad missed out on it Would've been cool if evolved Scyther into a Scizor too I enjoyed the Digimon naming theme and knew most of these

Well, the next run is a black 1, maybe 2 will be in a bit. For me, since Izzy was my favorite digidestined I always liked tentamon. But in season 2, wormon was pretty cool when he became a good guy.

@@RAZGRIZ13456789 for sure. This might blasphemous for me to say, but I think that as a show, digimon was much better than Pokémon. Don’t get me wrong, I was all about the Pokémon cards and games, and I liked the show too, but digimon had a story line, it wasn’t just get badges.

Digimon definitely had the better story and more interesting character arcs compared to Pokemon at the time they both were airing when we were kids. I am on the same boat as I enjoyed the fights and general story of digimon more than the battle of the week that pokemon was doing.

Basically have a soft spot for Mothim in Platinum. Of course I check the honey tree, there's a male burmy, its shiny. Know I was flipping out because I had never seen a shiny before. Eventually after I caught it, I think realized how rare it is. So I had to use it.

NOOOOO IM LATE BY AN HOUR. Honestly, bug was creative and platinum is literally the best gen for a bug playthrough. Plus I am literally dying from the Digimon references, I love Digimon so much. Goated vid

Unova is actually the best for a bug mono run but Sinnoh is also decent

The disrespect against my favorite type and the coolest type, Bug, is all too real. Sure, some of their stats and weaknesses are troublesome, but imo I think they’re awesome and that cancels that out lol I love those damn bugs

I get that your saying, and some of my favorite Pokémon are bugs, like shuckle and heracross, I just wish they didn’t have so many darn weaknesses! Btw, if bug is your favorite type you might want to be on the look out for another video this Sunday. That’s all I’m gonna say

I did consider it, but I’ve come to realize I prefer scyther in most instances, especially if with technician and how fast he is.

the psychic thing is kinda cool; they're weak to common fears: the dark, ghosts, and of course bugs :] (and then they're strong against fighting/poison since those are physical ailments--mind over matter)

Honestly just started my own Bug nuzlocke, but watching through this I realized you could do a whole Elite Four Typelocke before the first gym leader. Bug Kricketot /Wurmple Evos Ground Geodude/Onix Fire Chimchar /Ponyta Psychic Abra

Bugs beat psychic pokemon because they're a common fear! Just like the dark or ghosts!

This challenge would be a lot harder in Diamond and Pearl with the lack of scyther and yanma

Am currently doing a run of this in ruby, shedinja go brrrrrrr

@@NuzlockeJoe I have over 1000 but only bc I only put my switch in sleep mode and kept forgetting to turn the game off lmfao, but digimon is massive if you ever wanna do a weird once in a while try it sort of thing digimon games could have challenge runs, it could be a fun break when Pokémon gets a bit much after playing it so much for a long time in a row, but either way hope your doing good, and hope the video making isn’t too stressful, happy late new year mate 😊

I would start a training session and then set a timer and just put my switch asleep to wait. They actually is a Rom hack of Pokémon where they put in digimon that I’ve thought about doing on the channel. It could be pretty fun

@@NuzlockeJoe Yes. It’s awesome and new protagonist digimon Gammamon is catchable as its smallest form and has marvel scale

I did this in BDSP and since it would be my first monotyp nuzlocke and in an for me unknown game (with what's changed) I did give me some rules to make it more fun and easier. - One rule would be that I would allow me to use a Drapion (since for me it's a bug and despite me liking him I rarely use him). - Another that I can re-role the sex of Burmy and Combee. (But this rule was never enforced because I got both of them as females :D) ( so I don't know if it workes in the remakes the same way it did in Platinum/Pearl/Diamond. Because the moment you apply honey on the tree, the game nows what (if any) Pokémon you will get. What it doesn't know is the sex of it, that's roled while entering the battle. So in Platinum all you had to do was save infornt of a shaking tree and if you got an male Combee you could just restart the save and try again!) - I did reset the whole game after not getting a Cascoon 5 times. (which means I had to do the first gym 13 times, including failed attemps) I just somehow had so much luck that on the first 3 trees I got myself a female (neutral) Burmy, a female ( - spd / + def) Combee and a male ( - sp atk / + spd with Guts) Heracross... Which means I had a team out of Kricketune, Dustox, (steel) Wormadam, Vespiquen and Heracross by the time I went against the second gym leader :D

I like the gender reroll idea, without it you could basically waste two encounters

You could've gotten Silcoon/Cascoon in Eterna Forest for Dustox as well and you could've gotten Wurmple before Roark

@@NuzlockeJoe basically before Roark you got 10 different encounters other than your starter (6 routes one of them fishing only till you get Surf, 3 accessable caves, and Lake Verity)

Do you do challenge runs? I'd love to see a solo run using the pseudo of a Gen in its own game. Like Dragonite in Kanto or Garchomp in Sinnoh

I’ve only done two of them. I did a Lechonk run in Fire Red, and a shuckle run in crystal. Neither of them did well at all, so I put other challenge runs on hold. I did actually beat Pokémon red using only mew, and still have the recordings, but haven’t done anything with it.

@@robertbounds2807 as far as equipment, the only thing you’d need is the universal Pokémon randomizer. That lets you change starters in every game up to gen 5. Its something I’ve learned how to do in this channel, and it’s super easy sctuslly

Great video man Kabuterimon mvp for sure! if I could make one constructive criticism, Your content is awesome, the jokes are funny and it’s enjoyable to watch, but I wish it didn’t sound quite so scripted. Maybe try playing around with how you read it to make it a little less choppy. Enjoyed the video regardless and thank you for the content!

Good question. On route 222 ( I think) there’s the guy who asks to see a Pokémon of a specific lvl. You can go once a day and he’ll give you either a black belt, expert belt, or focus sash. So I just kept changing dates till I get levels I was already close enough too.

You hit 45 at Adidas before the ice gym which was past level cap at that point ;) but whose counting 😂

Yeah, if he ever had, say a snorlax, with max HP evs, that would probably be a bit tougher. Good thing he doesn’t!

@@NuzlockeJoe I'm guessing you didn't have Rock Slide tm which could've saved Yamega Heracross counters Gyarados well as the Water Snake doesn't have any Flying moves

Bug may be an overall weak to so so type, but it does have some true beasts like Heracross (to bad in most games they are such a pain in the ass to get)
