RIGHT! They caught me so off guard lol

Going to be honest here out of the two hazbin songs we heard of so far I prefer happy day in hell, but I did like poison , honestly didn't expect another hazbin song to drop, considering we are super close to the show's release date, literally woke up this morning and I was caught off guard when I saw the song.

Same! I definitely didn't expect another song! Happy Day in Hell is definitely gonna be a iconic song as it's the opening, I love though that both songs are so different in style! Really shows that there's gonna be something for everyone!

Right! It's too good!

It seems much like Addict and Paranoid DJ's songs about using Angel Dust. Angel's songs are more or less used as a cry for help. This song is obivously regarding Valentino. In Addict we kinda got a subtle call out to Valentino as Angel's abuser with the "This is my life and your are playing with it now until the end of the night." line. This one he is directly referencing Val as his tormenter, in by saying he got suckered into believing or trusting Valentino, and even admits it was his own fault for falling for it. As such everything Val is, says, and does is toxic and Angel is really left with no choice but to swallow all the poisonous BS that Valentino gives him. Because the only real way out of this situation is being erased as Angel does say "My story is gonna end with me dead by your poison" I.E. My existance will end when you erase me. This is a situation Angel has had to live with for a number of years now. So in addition to drugs numbing things out so he can deal with the crap he faces every day. He also has that surface persona that he uses to show the rest of Hell that he's okay and that everything is fine. It's only when he is alone, or with someone he deeply trusts that he removes the mask and is allowed to vent his frustration. The end of that song kinda sounds like Angel is beginning to break under the strain of everything, so that mask he wears is cracking. There is no telling what will occur when it finally shatters.

I agree! It's gonna be awesome to finally see Angel's story start to unfold! This song fits him so will, I wonder what other songs he'll have for season one!

@@thedandelionprincess5076 I hope there is a Charlie and Angel duet song. Such as Charlie saying she wants him to open up and let her Help, and Angel sort of pushing her away saying he's too deep to be helped and he'll only bring disaster. If not by Val then through other forces associated with him. Or even a Cherri and Charlie duet while they want to save Angel or protect him for different reasons, they are both afraid of losing him in general.
