The girl who is in the Wiggles in the black pointes is also in the Australian ballet. She's one of the first Aboriginal Australian dancers in the company-and the first Aboriginal Australian Wiggle!.
I had goosebumps after That performance where the ballerina was saved by her parter. Every muscle was aching and she pulled it off…so professional. Bravo

Isabella Boylston, Principal Dancer, American Ballet Theatre. Great dancer, hilarious posts.
Actually, could you get those pointe-style heels and do a comparison between their construction and actual pointe shoes?! I think that would be really cool!
I am with Josephine on the whole kicking your leg out while trying to pick up something and I never have taken ballet a day in my life. I must have just been a ballerina in a past life or something 😂😂😂

it really is easier! the leg is like a counterweight to your torso so you don't have to work as hard to straighten back up! i am a disabled former dancer and i don't kick my leg up super high or anything but i totally use that trick to save effort when i have to bend over.

I know how much hard, hard work goes into ballet. And children at that age should not work hard. And if anyone comes now and tells me it's what they all want and it's not the parents whipping them through it to have their own ego and vanity satisfied: I know those parents. I know how little time those children have to be children. It's not cute and it's the opposite of wholesome.

@@inkenhafner7187 That's a fair criticism. I'll admit my perspective is skewed by my own experiences with dancing as a child, which were not in a studio or competitive context, so in my memory, it feels fun and joyful. That said, I agree, children shouldn't work hard, especially on shaping their bodies for exacting standards like there are in ballet. Thank you for your thoughts on this, I appreciate the different perspective.
All the things I have learned here that nobody ever told me when I danced (1953-1963) the knowledge of which might have kept me from so much pain and having to quit something I loved so much.

Can you swap them back and forth or is it only for one side? I can see how the left would be wrecked in a crossover!
Evie Ferris from The Wiggles (Initially A Blue Wiggle, but now more comfortably The Yellow Wiggle - with traditional red and black stripes) seen dancing in a gorgeous yellow tutu and her trademark black pointe shoes is an incredibly talented and proud Taribelang and Djiabugay woman. She is 26 and has been a member of The Australian Ballet since she was 17, having previously attended The Australian Ballet School International Training Program from age 12, along with her sister Ella. Evie is creative in all aspects of the arts and is a huge advocate for the visibility and inclusion indigenous children and young people in ballet and the performing arts.

Those ballet inspired heels are very cute! I've seen many variations from many different brands and they also come in flat from other brands (I have two pairs of the flat ones) and that's how you do a ballet inspired outfit without injuring yourself. I understand the appeal of balletcore aesthetically, in this way you're not risking your physical integrity or coming across as insulting to dancers.
3:46 as well as being a wiggle, evie is also actually in the corps of the australian ballet company :)
Josephine, after putting yourself through 20+ of these videos you deserve those shoes 👞 ❤
Couldn't say for sure, but the only story I can think of that would require such a dapper looking Donkey would be Shakespeare's Midsummer's Night Dream. Puck turns an annoying actor named Bottom into a donkey, and Queen Titania of the fairies is love potioned into falling in love with him. I checked, there is a ballet adaptation...so probably? But it could be something else.

Looks like rehearsal for the Royal Ballet production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. If so, that's definitely a "bro" a Josephine said it. Bottom is played by a male dancer en pointe.

When are you going to post fittings again? I miss those.
I had to laugh at the picking up keys one as I do the extreme dancer pick up, but I'm not a dancer, lol. I'm just a very flexible mid 40s woman that wanted to be a dancer as a kid but my mom told me that the teacher of the few classes I took at around 5 or 6 years old said I was as graceful as an elephant. 🤨 Thanks Mom for the confidence boost.
How are these teeny tiny dancers so good! Adorable 😄
I’ve never done ballet, I’m not even a dancer. But these are so funny I can’t stop watching them 😂
“Fairy Feet” lol that’s me with all my dance friends they have such tiny dainty fairy feet! 🤣😅 Josephine what do you think or Bloch European Balance?
I never ask to sit down, one time i looked so tired and sick my teacher was like, Sweetie, sit down.

Whoever was in the Donkey costume … they did an amazing job
The tiny dancer in the red tutu is ADVANCED!
ahhh i didn’t realize it was spencer rubin but when they started playing i realized lol 😂😂
I've got a spine injury which has affected my left leg. I'm not a dancer, but it really IS easier to bend down to pick up stuff from the floor on one leg with the other one stretched behind me 😅 Maybe not pointed at the ceiling, but I totally get what you mean.
Those incredibly talented little girls! The one in red was like a little butterfly or a fairy princess. Oh my gosh!
"In a British National Geographic accent" 😂😂😂 Perfection.
Josephine is sooo happy that there wasn't any cups in that vid 😂
3:32 lol not a dancer but I always do that to give me balance 😂
6:00 Only thought in my head: when did A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare become a ballet?😂😂😂
I loved the wiggles when i was a toddler and that one tiktok made my day, I remembered my obsession
I'm not a dancer and never have been would love to have learned before my back gave out. But I do the leg l ift when I bend over to get stuff pretty often.

Girl. You're have a point. 'Cause bending over to pick something of the floor is horrible for the back. Some dancers are not so cautious about theirs bodies.
The first one is so accurate 😭🤣
What No Cups....? HAHA! And you definitely need a pair of ballet heels.
Oh - the teeny-tinies taking their first ballet lesson .... 🥰🥰🥰 So adorable.
3:32 i didnt do ballet, but did other forms of dance, cheerleading Nd gymnastics and at 40 i still pick my keys up this way

I haven’t taken a dance class in 26 years and my foot still goes up when I bend over to pick something up.
Slay , queen ! I melt . Truth and beauty , music and dance .

The First Lady is me trying to figure out Bloch shoes.
The Donkey is most likely from A Midsummer Nigh'ts Dream. The role is played by a male dancer and they usually do go en pointe.
I've seen the Nutcracker twice. That is the limit of my ballet experience. I don't know why I love these videos but I do!!!
That Midsummer Night's Dream performance was delightful wow

1:23 OMG that’s my ballet centre😮
It used to be so hard to find shoes, my feet are small, thankdully the internet exists now. 😂
0:47 the face of the girl got me dying😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The donkey is Bottom from Frederick Ashton's "The Dream", based on Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. It was one of, if not the first ballet in which a man dances on pointe.
Me dancing for you a few years and having point shoes and all that kind of fun stuff and both those little girls dancing better than me😂😅😂
The donkey is the character named Bottom from a A Midsummer Night's Dream. If you've never seen it.... it's so pretty to look at.. So dreamy. I think that costume is actually the one that the Royal uses.
About 5:52 the pointe horse tap dancing, this is originally from national ballet of Japan. The horse tap ballet dancer is Keigo Fukuda.
I remember seeing a video of the donkey mask dancer on the English Royal Ballet's channel a few years ago. It's the role of Bottom frrom A Midsummer Nights dream. Another role from the Royal Ballet that combines tap and ballet is the Mad Hatter from Alice In Wonderland originated by Steven McRae (the same production where the queen of hearts is in a massive wheel around heart)
3:18 I love her !!!
