One thing I did, Peg was to make videos of chatting with Ida, even at the difficult times. I cherish those videos today.

So sorry about your mom.
I loved this story .. 😢♥️ And extremely well told. 👏👏 I closed my eyes for most of it and envisioned all the spots that I know from other documentaries & videos, so it was like I was summiting with you in that great narrative.. beautiful way to end the story too. Thank you 😔
Oh wow. I really feel like I've experienced something even tho I can't physically see it. That was really neat. Thanks so much Al❤

Thank you for sharing. Very touching and hits home. I lost both parents this past year to Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s with Lewy Body dementia. I’m trying to find my “center” again. ❤️

Alan I’ve just discovered you! You have me hooked. Please update us as soon as you get the chance. I’m following Ryan because of you and have been so worried. Praying he has a successful summit and return and I’m on pins and needles. I saw a post there was a tragedy on Everest and I’m awaiting your update. ❤❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏

Alan will you be making a vid soon about the sudden collapse of the cornice at the summit of Everest yesterday ? I trust you've seen the photos and have some thoughts on this tragic turn . Many would be interested. RIP to the missing.

Hello Alan, I was recently reading about the Himalayan Database. I was just curious, if a climber summits with a guide service, does that expedition leader submit the names for entry into the official database, or does each individual have to submit their own names?

They get names from the Nepal government based on officials, liaison Officers and guide leaders. All is based on the official permitting process.

@AlanArnetteClimbs thanks for the reply, Alan. I was watching a video on Elizabeth Hawley recently, and it peaked my interest into that whole process. I remembered reading about her in one of Ed Viester's books that I read. FYI, my sister has Alzheimers. It's very sad to see a loved one go through it. Thanks for what you do for this cause.
Buenos días Would you happen to have a company that great just for base camp , I’ll leave the climbing to the experts but did trek Machu Picchu was so emotional when I saw it -sunrise was just coming up - I made it 🎉
