@@abdulmateen19 Sorry for the late reply as we've been busy with AZ Bike Week and two other events. I want to thank you for this info and explain Rockford Fosgate's philosophy on equalization. Every Rockford Fosgate source unit we've produced does not clip at full volume. This is quite different than most all radios on the market that typically clip at 3/4 to 7/8 volume. This is when the pre-amp runs out of voltage while trying to increase the output when it simply can't, resulting in "clipping" off the top and bottom of the sound wave off. Excessive clipping results in bad sound. When excessive clipping happens at the amplifier, it generates heat instead of actual power and can burn your speaker's voice coils. Typical radios offer +3 dB (boost), 0 dB (no boost/cut) and -3 dB (cut), you'll likely be clipping the signal when you boost the EQ. The Equalizer in the PMX-HD14 does not clip, so you can boost all the bands in the EQ to MAX and still have clean output. This is a drastically different way of processing the audio compared to most radios on the market. Because of this, we recommend using an equalizer as a "cut only" device. So, let's day you need more emphasis at 1kHz. Instead of boosting 1kHz, you would cut the frequencies below 1kHz and frequencies above 1kHz. This might sound strange, but we've taught this philosophy since the 2000's in all our trainings. Using this method (cut-only) will allow you to "boost" and "cut" any frequency you want without the fear of clipping any of the audio. This will result in the best sounding output from the radio to the amplifier system.

@@rockfordfosgateappreciate the response and explanation with the knowledge. I've updated the unit since I posted that statement. I like the fact that it's over the air update now. I also run the stage 5 kit with the head unit. Subs play a little low but it stills hits. Just wish it would have came with android auto. But I did get the zz air duo device.

@@abdulmateen19 Great, thank you! You may have noticed the Subwoofer Phase changed by default on software (16-NOV-23), so it’s worth changing it IN or OUT of Phase to see if one setting provides better bass impact for you. We sincerely appreciate your technical wisdom to do the software updates and your investment on a Stage 5 system!

I just bought a new, Punch P400×4, a Punch P600×4, Power T1693 for the rear deck, T1682 for rear lower doors, Power T2652-S components for the front doors. I'm planning to get 2 Punch 10" P2D4's and another Punch P600×4 amp and running it bridged. I have a New Kenwood Excelon Micro processor Deck coming any day. I intend to run the tweeters and rear doors off the P400 and the front 6.5's and the 6×9's off the other P600. Running everything 4ohm's. It is all going into a Ford Fusion. 1. Question #1 Do you think everything would be powered correctly with that set up? 2. What size main Power wire would you recommend for about 15 or 16 feet to the fuse block? I intend to run the two P600's amps off 4 guage and 4 or 8 on the P400 from the fuse block. 3. Would my 150Amp alternator be big enough?

Everything looks good @Living_EDventures ! Our only recommendation would be an amplifier better equipped for (2) Punch P2D4-10 subwoofers. Each provides 300 Watts RMS of power handling (600W total capacity), and since both can be wired to create a 1Ω load, the Punch P500X1bd would work better since it produces 500 Watts x 1 @ 1-Ohm. It's also a dedicated subwoofer amplifier with a built-in Infrasonic Filter at 28Hz @ 12dB/Octave. This type of filter is mandatory if you're going to use a ported enclosure.

The system used in the 2024 HD are the exact reason I’ll avoid RF altogether. 9 watts per channel on the dyno. I’m old enough to remember the RF quality. Sad to see it sellout to the MoCo for a buck.

This is a logical fallacy of misinformation where parts of the “test” are conveniently left out, so viewers can draw only one conclusion. The fact is Rockford Fosgate has been producing high-performance amplifiers for over 44 years, and thousands of fanatics are first-hand testimonials of their true power. Ironically, we’re in the middle of producing a follow-up to a Dynamic Power episode we released last year, so we’ll update it to include that amplifier. Stay tuned for the truth.
