    Sorry i dont agree with D, simply because the Staff has raised concerned which mightbe true or not be truethat i agree. But why he should start coaching using tools directly as his response, but what if its true how can he start coaching to motivate. Option C is correct because it does address the concerns first and also assess its impact. Also we cant ignore the fact that The Principle Designer is taken out to another project. So the resource is gone. Why should the PM start coaching them without assessing the impact loss of resource.

    I think I get it, Yes we can't ignore concerns of the team and stakeholders, we have to validate them through some form of analysis. Here a key personal has left the team but the team is still there worried that they might face issues. So yeah, we can say that the team morale is down. The question stem focuses on resolving the concerned team, obviously just because one member is not there the ship won't sink but a low moral crew is a problem. That way raising their moral and motivation is good However I am not sure how training would be of any help here... If it were to me I would have went for impact analysis with the team, that way either the team would be okay with the lose of a member as they can still manage or we would have found an actual issue that needs to be addressed in detail. Either way it's a win win

    Yes Nazia, I totally agree with you on this. The question was about the most effective action by PM to resolve? Without acknowledging/addressing team members concerns, we cannot move forward with option D without analysing. This makes the answer is C

  • @crispingeorge2502

    I sincerely hv a different take on Q5. To start with the team raised a concern about the effect of a staff leaving. There is nothing to suggest that the team is demotivated, so choosing D is strange. Alternatively, C talks about acknowedge the concern raised, which is right. The PM must not ignore concerns from the team or other stakeholders. Doing an impact analysis to know the impact on the other constraints, looks decent. In my opinion, C is a better choice to D, because it addresses the problem.

    Hi. Please note that you do 'impact analysis' on a change request and NOT on a 'concern' raised by project team. There can be 100's of concerns raised by multiple team members at any point in a project. How many impact analysis would you keep on doing? That's simply not realistic.

  • @lakshanelikewela390

    @lakshanelikewela390

    I seriously do agree with you on this point. The fact that the team is considered about the design inefficiencies( which is a technical concern) which could lead to design problems and also their concern is on increase in project duration. Now this does not talk about lower motivation but a consideration on the impact itself. Simply, the team is concerned about the impact that the principle designer leaving has on the project. On the other hand, what could be gained by motivating the team, if their concerns are actually valid and does have a significant impact on the project? This should be resolved through a impact analysis. Therefore, I'm sticking with answer 3.

    @@PMPwithRay It is not only the concern of the team members, but an issue has arisen based on the unannounced transfer of the principle designer. How will we know if the project can continue without this resource, and there are any technical problems associated with it? The 'concern' of the team members are based on a grounded problem that actually occurred, hence it cannot be ruled out as just only a concern.

    Thank you for sharing your score. Don’t worry about the score too much. However, focus on your learning gaps and try to improve on the same. The key to a good Exam score is a solid analysis of your mistakes during the practice sessions.
