    For Question 4, even though option2 is selected because all the other options are irrelevant, technically it appears to be wrong. It says priorities backlog to match the team's skill set. But backlog prioritization is done purely on the basis of business value and risk.

    Dear Ray, for question 5. I would have suggested answer D. Because the geological and soil testing is still on-going. The results may conclude that no construction can be made on this site. So if we continue the design of Jade villa event in an agile based iteration, it could be a waste of money and resource. Please provide your thoughts. Thank you

    Hi, since your question is technical, I will answer accordingly: It's seldom true that some area is 'totally' unsuitable for construction. Ground subsidence issues are very common in coastal areas and can easily be avoided with pile foundations. Constructions in earthquake high-risk ares follow a flexible design. Hence, it is highly improbable that the soil testing study will reveal that 'no-construction' could be made.

    Original Comment is below - I just reread the question and see now it says CONTRACT for design is complete. DOH OOPS. Lesson learned: slow down when reading questions.!!! I picked D on Q5 because the question states the DESIGN IS ALREADY COMPLETE AND READY FOR SIGNOFF - so what is the point of "C planning to design rest of villa in agile"? The foundation redesign needs to wait until all the data from testing is in, and the interiors can either be constructed as already designed or that design can be reassessed once the foundation redesign is complete. Curious to hear your reply! TYSM for these great and DIFFICULT questions.

    Dear Ray, on Question 5 I feel. answer D would make much more sense, especially in the construction industry, as compared to IT industry, it becomes quiet costly to fix issues in Construction as most of the work follows a more prescriptive/Waterfall approach than an Agile/Adaptive Approach. - However thanks for the mindset on how to approach these questions

    I got 4/5. For the last question, I was thinking since it was a construction project, Agile would not apply. But I guess since it’s the DESIGN of a villa not construction, that is why Agile can apply but then again, you could use waterfall for the design, because the requirements should not be more obscure than the ones for the other villas on the other islands…

    All the questions were very good. I'm a PMP aspirant. I scored 3/5.. Can you explain a bit more on "Focus Group Discussions". Thank you

  • @PMPwithRay

    @PMPwithRay

    8 ай бұрын

    A focused group discussion (FGD) is a qualitative research technique commonly used in social sciences, market research, and various fields to gather in-depth information and insights from a group of participants about a specific topic or issue. FGDs are also known as focus groups. Key features of a focused group discussion include: 1. Group Interaction: FGDs involve a small group of participants, typically ranging from 5 to 12 people, who are selected based on their relevance to the research topic. These participants come together to discuss and share their thoughts, opinions, and experiences. 2. Moderator: A skilled facilitator or moderator leads the discussion. The moderator's role is to guide the conversation, ensure the discussion stays on topic, encourage active participation, and probe for deeper insights. They may use a pre-prepared set of questions or discussion points as a guideline. 3. Open-Ended Questions: Participants are encouraged to express themselves freely. The discussion is based on open-ended questions and prompts, allowing for diverse perspectives and a wide range of responses. 4. Qualitative Data: FGDs aim to collect qualitative data, which can provide rich and nuanced information. The emphasis is on understanding the "why" and "how" behind participants' responses rather than quantifying data. 5. Group Dynamics: FGDs take advantage of group dynamics. Participants often respond to and build upon each other's comments, which can lead to the exploration of deeper insights and perspectives. 6. Sample Diversity: Participants in a focused group discussion are chosen to represent a range of backgrounds, experiences, or opinions related to the research topic. This diversity can lead to a more comprehensive understanding of the issue. 7. Non-Bias: FGDs are designed to minimize bias and encourage honest and candid responses. Participants may be encouraged to express both positive and negative views. 8. Data Analysis: After the FGD, the data collected is typically analyzed to identify patterns, themes, and insights that can inform research findings or decision-making. Focused group discussions are commonly used in various contexts, including marketing research to gain insights into consumer preferences and behaviors, product development to understand user needs, public policy to assess public opinion, and academic research to explore complex social issues. FGDs are a valuable tool for collecting qualitative data, which complements quantitative data and provides a deeper understanding of people's attitudes, beliefs, and motivations.

    Thank you for sharing your score. Don’t worry about the score too much. However, focus on your learning gaps and try to improve on the same. The key to a good Exam score is a solid analysis of your mistakes during the practice sessions.
