Sending this to my sister. Multiple times over the years, she’s asked me for basically a magical all- in- one product she can use to fade her sunspots and eliminate her wrinkles. She won’t even use sunscreen. Thank you for being so reasonable, understanding, and soothing. I recommend you in other comment sections weekly. Love your content. ☺️

i love your chatty videos🥰 i just did my nighttime skincare while watching this, it was so therapeutic! i’m only 22 but the conversation around well-aging is still important to me because i’m very against the idea that this stage of my life is my “prime”. i refuse to peak and only enjoy my 20s because i’m young! there’s so much goodness to come🥰 i can’t wait to be a woman in her 30s, 40s, 50s etc. HERE’S TO LOVING LIFE !🥂

Im almost 40. Well aging for me now is beimg healthy overall - skin health, body health, mental health. I want to be strong enough in my later years to be able to move freely without the burden of maintenance medication and ailments. I want to become strong enough to help myself and help others even when reach my senior years. Well aging routine for me now encompasses skincare, yoga, balanced diet, good relationship, continuous learning, and spiritual journey. Thank you Kelly for being a constant reminder to embrace ourselves and to look beyond our outer appearance. God bless.

I have only relatively recently found Korean skincare. In an attempt to inform myself I came upon you. Your intelligent, informative videos quickly made you my favourite! THIS is why I appreciate you so much. Your message is about self care and being the best you can be in every way. It's not just superficial, it's about your entire wellness. If you truly love yourself you have no fear of aging. It is inevitable so you can either accept the process and do your best to be the best you can be at any age or be unhappy with what you have no control over. I appreciate your mother is going to embrace her gray. I think every person should do what they feel comfortable with, be it natural or "enhanced" (dyed hair). To each his own in life. I support everyone being THEIR best and appreciate you for sharing such an important message. Take good care, Kelly. Look forward to your next video!

Oh Kelly... more videos like this one please 🙏🙏🙏 This is probably going to be a long comment, so... sorry about this. I'm a little older than you and I'm not going to lie: I have felt down about it at times. Yes I'm heavily into skincare and well-ageing, however deep inside I now know that I may have been prettier at 25, but I'm much more beautiful today. And by "beautiful" I mean many different things, such as self-awareness and the confidence of being exactly who I am; not having to accommodate anyone else's needs or expectations; taking command of my own life etc... And these things seem to make a person more attractive and sexy than perfect youth. Yes, I have dynamic lines;😅 no, I'm not as flexible as I was when I was 18, but there's something about me that simply wasn't there before and that comes with embracing every phase of life. It ain't always easy... but it is so so worth it! P.S. I adore grey hair, especially when it's long and thick. I'm sure your mum is going to be stunning and enjoy her mane.

The one K-beauty thing that's never affected my skin in a negative way throughout a few years of severe skin issues has been Cosrx snail mucin! It's a reason it's loved by so many. I love that this video is not just about the newest and exciting skincare products (cause I can't use them anymore) - the message behind it is gold. :-) I'm 31 and starting to hollow out under my eyes which is bothering me at times, but I try to focus on the things I can do (sunscreen, tret, hydration), and move my focus towards enjoying my life in stead of looking at my face too much! All the best to you

Love your comment on Margot Robbie ❤❤❤ I completely agree! I'm 50. I used to stop traffic in my teens, 20s & 30s. At around 42 that started to change. I've noticed that now I'm invisible. I'm not complaining. I love not being mentally undressed by guys. But I do notice the difference in how strangers treat me and I'm so grateful that throughout my life I've cultivated myself and my sense of self worth doesn't depend on beauty or money. Both those things fluctuate and there's much more to the SELF. But if anyone out there is looking for advice on outer beauty, here it is: water, vegetables, excersise, sunscreen, tretinoin, a hat, and more sunscreen. There's no excuse to not wear sunscreen now that Koreans have finished inventing it. I remember as a child,a teen, even in my 20s, it was thick, greasy and irritating. I just couldn't stand the itch, so I seldom wore it. I've found my ideal sunscreen after decades: the Korean version of Derma:B Everyday Sun Block SPF50+ PA++++. Not to be confused with Derma E. It comes in a clear 200ml bottle w a yellow cap. Super affordable, so lightweight it's sheer, and great for body AND face! This in my view, is a better invention than the microwave! I always buy 2 (1 for me, 1 to give to a friend). Kelly, I love your message and your content 💕

@@neen42 I agree. But I'm so glad I didn't dismiss it for that. I have extremely sensitive skin. Almost everything itches or burns, but not this sunscreen. I've tried almost every sunscreen recommended by Kelly, by my own dermatologists throughout the years, by dermatologists online, by Odile Monod (who's opinion I highly respect,) and by Lab Muffin. Are there some good ones out there? Yes. But to me, Derma:B is the MOST lightweight, sheer comfortable sunscreen I've ever tried. I've found my holy grail, and for the first time, it turns out that my holy grail is affordable 😳 😍

The jump from .035 to .05% was too drastic for my skin, and after 6 months of intense peeling and trying every method known to man, I went back down a level. My latest Agency bottle got lost in the mail forcing me to use .05, and I think I found a method that is working. I do my entire skincare evening routine, wait two hours, and then apply tretinoin as a final step. So far, not even a little flake! Love Stratia LG as a serum, but...ohhh...it makes me look like I'm a yellow squash. Regimen Labs Wave and CREAM are amazing over Stratia!

I've been changing out the terminology and using the term well-aging ever since I stumbled onto your videos a couple of years ago. Focusing on skin health - and overall health whether it is mental or physical - is just a much gentler and kinder way of going about your journey through life. Funny enough, I've had tremendous improvements to my skin just focusing on taking care of it. Sidenote: I had the same reaction with Margot. We are the ame age, and when I see her I am enamored, and like you I need to smile cause she is just so charming. Wild, how this discussion could even be had honestly... My friend group recently had a discussion on grey hair, cause more of us have started to find them and it is wild how different our views on them are. Good for your mom, that has to be really liberating. My mom is a gorgeous light shade of grey, so my sister and I are hoping we'll get lucky with the genetics of our hair. Share you thoughts Kelly, I really love videos like this one. 🥰

If your skin is lacking water you might find adding a toner like the one from Kaine helpful. The serum is about targeting your skin goals so if you're interested in microbiome and skin barrier health this serum could be right for you. Always take into consideration what your skin needs and what you want to achieve before adding into your routine.

My Dermatica prescription is much smaller than this and it lasts me around 2 and a half months, although it has an expiring date of a month. I would think that applying the chia seed oil and the Liquid gold would very much weaken the retinol. I like putting liquid gold On top of the Tretinion. The tretinoin works much better for me. Whats the point if you're diluting it down. If you absolutely can't apply the tretinion to skin bare or topped with serum(s) then I'd add a moisturizer before, but .5 is not that strong.

.05 is strong for me and my sensitive skin! I do what works for my individual skin and have been loving the results! Everyone is different and this method is not universal, we all have to follow what our skin wants. Tretinoin is extremely potent so no reason to doubt it's ability to get in there!

@@KellyDriscoll Do you think it will get in your skin with two occlusives under it? I'm curious about this. I though occlusives sealed products beneath it in, but make it very hard for anything on top to get into the skin.

Hey Kelly. I have a video suggestion. Why don’t you and your Mom both do your a.m. and p.m. skincare routine together. We would love to see it.

I'm kinda jealous how easy it is for you Americans to get tret. Just go online wow! I had to almost beg my doctor for Differin (that's prescription here) and she didn't really want to give it to me because my acne was a little calmed down that day 😂

It's a recent development for sure, tret is still a prescription ingredient and the online services aren't available in all States due to laws at the state level about online prescriptions. But since our healthcare system is totally messed up, it's cheaper for me to get tret online than using a derm and health insurance... 😞

@@KellyDriscoll Oh I didn't know about the different state laws, confusing! But yeah I can be a little more grateful, I got my Differin for free through insurance 😳

I don't mind the term "anti-aging" - we all know nothing can really prevent aging, so this term, which has been around for a very long time, doesn't bother me at all. Refrasing it doesn't change anything, if anything I find it a bit patronising. As if we, the consumers, have been actually been somehow lied to and made to believe anti-aging products really fight aging and now the truth has been revealed and it's just well-aging we can achieve.

I find it funny when young people talk about aging. I will be 50 this year and it is bothering me alot. Inside. Just for myself. So what shall people say and feel when they are 50+? 😢

Well and we don’t say this stuff about men. Look at Patrick Dempsey or Idris Elba, they have lines on their face and damn sure don’t look twenty something but they are sexy as hell and the fact that they don’t look like they are 25 doesn’t even factor into it. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Personally I like the term "anti-aging" way more than "well-aging". With the latter it implies there are people who age badly, it feels more negatively targeted at a subset of people. With "anti-aging" it's more general, more abstract as we all know that we are going to age anyways.

this is hypocrisy. blah blah we are getting old and it is wonderful and we should rejoice and accept. no one rejoices or smiles when they see old people or animals. everyone likes children and cute kittens with puppies - they symbolize the life, the future. it is hypocrisy to say that we want to be young because society requires it from us and not because youth is a value and everyone subconsciously strives for it simply because it is good in itself, and not because it is required of us.

I disagree. I love old people and animals! I realize not everyone feels this way. I think that they just have so much life experience and interesting stories and they don’t cause a lot of drama.
