    I actually built a "4 wheel drive version" I used to race in the 80's. Back when you could buy a 70 Camaro for literally $175 bucks. I put it on a 73' Blazer frame which cost $200, the blazer parts not needed sold for over $400 so the build was literally free.

    I don't see the downside to a hydraulic clutch, so long as it doesn't have a slave cylinder that requires transmission removal to replace. Also, the age of the car doesn't determine whether the clutch is hydraulic or not. Toyota was using them in some cars back when your Camaro was built. 5:46 I'm disappointed that there aren't any mandrel bends. Sure, they wouldn't look 100% like OEM, but they would be close enough and have a great horsepower benefit.

  • @jordanwiley4582

    @jordanwiley4582

    4 жыл бұрын

    Yes, the age of the car does determine whether or not the clutch is hydraulic. It's from 1970. Camaros in 1970 did not have hydraulic clutches. At a basically stock power level mandrel vs press bent 2.5" exhaust hp wise is negligible at best. And if it works, there is no downside to a hydraulic clutch. The downsides are installing it and bleeding it. A mechanical clutch will almost never not work. Plus, its what was available in 1970.
