You do need to occasionally practice putting it all together, however majority of the training should be focused on the different aspects of the 100m like he says in the video.

That doesn't work then and doesn't work now. You run your fastest, training your full running form at once. Don't know where this type of training even began.
Dude, 150 sprints and 80 and 120 be the best for endurance and technique and the isolation of every aspect is altough key, good job from keeping the track community informed
So for block starts go like 30m, top speed like 60m without blocks, and speed endurance like 150-250??

Well if your training for 200m, you would do 100m repeats almost full out.
Some of this is accurate. But make no mistake, you need to run the full length of that race in practice like he said tho, at a certain time.
This advice is incorrect. You should of course train in whatever event you specialize in. HOWEVER, you should do it sparingly, perhaps once a week or so.

I like this breakdown. It really matters on focusing and building up the foundations first and the brackets in between so that at the top (your full sprint) is a complete package.
Remember this is for sprints, if your training for the mile to about 5k sprints are still good!

Yeah, my coach does this for us.
The best way to be faster is to run, of course you will work on your reaction acceleration top speed and deceleration but you can't take the full 100 m rep away
As a mid distance runner I regulary hit 100 meter strides after every easy run to train speed and it is decently effective
I think he was just enjoying himself, nearly all people just run for fun. So few are going to do all that stuff.

I disagree, yes, it's more likely to lead to injury, but injuries are always result of bad movements, lack of body balance, diet, excessive strain, genetics and all that. If you get injured doing the 100s reasonably in training, you'd probably get injured outside training eventually. It's ok to do it, just be really careful with warm up and stretches... In fact, absolutely always be careful with it when sprinting. Also, if you're doing a lot of weights, be careful with what you do and your body balance. I'd say it's better to just do multiple reps of max 100s if you don't have a good coach leading you well.
In conclusion, to get faster, run slower.
Isolate and maximize each component of the sprint Top speed no blocks goal max velocity Starts short distances max effort starts Acceleration Speed endurance 100 m can increase chance of injury, I had hamstring injury when i used to do too many 100m sprints twice a week

My sprint "training" is: 2 sets of 40 yard sprints (100%) 2 sets of 40 yard sprints up a hill (100%) Some sets of 1 legged calf raises and still leg jumps 5 sets of 1 leg squats 2 sets of normal bodyweight squats to failure Then 5 sets of leg curls Then I do the whole thing twice each week On a scale of 1 - 10, how bad is that training
mine is running to school

For acceleration, a lot of technique practice with blocks, sleds, & flying 30s are great. Remember F=m*a. When you’re starting out, you have no acceleration yet, so you want to compensate for that by applying force into the ground when you’re driving on the first couple of steps out the blocks.
With some research, I believe my trainers are uneducated

Well i beg to differ; that research that your promoting is not holy writ so each to their own. What i will say is, Carl Lewis was the game changer in the 80s before Ben Johnson changed the dynamics of what was learned from/ through Carl. You see Lewis held his top speed till almost the 90metre mark, by the time he started decelerating he had already crossed the finished line. Most if not ‘ALL’ the others were decelerating around the 60-70 meter mark and so Lewis was the study? Do you know about this? Anyway, I’ve done my own research and have my own programs; what you’ve described is the old methods that keep people at 10 not breaking into 9s let alone challenging this? Each to their own! Love your content though!

I had to read this a couple times to understand what you're trying communicate here. You're making a lot of claims but I'm curious where is your data from. Data provided by Speedendurance.com on Carl Lewis 100m split times shows his top speed peaked at 50-60m in 1988 when he ran 9.92 and decelerated after. In this clip Carl Lewis' coach Tom Tellez even says Top Speed is reached at 60-70m, then Carl Lewis says it himself that he decelerates at the end although most people assume he's still increasing speed. kzread.info/dash/bejne/d2GKxa17YrW0ZtY.html .
