I disagree, yes, it's more likely to lead to injury, but injuries are always result of bad movements, lack of body balance, diet, excessive strain, genetics and all that. If you get injured doing the 100s reasonably in training, you'd probably get injured outside training eventually. It's ok to do it, just be really careful with warm up and stretches... In fact, absolutely always be careful with it when sprinting. Also, if you're doing a lot of weights, be careful with what you do and your body balance. I'd say it's better to just do multiple reps of max 100s if you don't have a good coach leading you well.

Well i beg to differ; that research that your promoting is not holy writ so each to their own. What i will say is, Carl Lewis was the game changer in the 80s before Ben Johnson changed the dynamics of what was learned from/ through Carl. You see Lewis held his top speed till almost the 90metre mark, by the time he started decelerating he had already crossed the finished line. Most if not ‘ALL’ the others were decelerating around the 60-70 meter mark and so Lewis was the study? Do you know about this? Anyway, I’ve done my own research and have my own programs; what you’ve described is the old methods that keep people at 10 not breaking into 9s let alone challenging this? Each to their own! Love your content though!

I had to read this a couple times to understand what you're trying communicate here. You're making a lot of claims but I'm curious where is your data from. Data provided by Speedendurance.com on Carl Lewis 100m split times shows his top speed peaked at 50-60m in 1988 when he ran 9.92 and decelerated after. In this clip Carl Lewis' coach Tom Tellez even says Top Speed is reached at 60-70m, then Carl Lewis says it himself that he decelerates at the end although most people assume he's still increasing speed. kzread.info/dash/bejne/d2GKxa17YrW0ZtY.html . Where can we look at the data you're talking about? No hate, genuine question.
