Man i hate when ppl do this! It clearly says 1-4 people when ordering a ride. Fuckin cheapos, order a fucking XL! The guy supposed to risk getting pulled over and getting fined and then fired just to make a couple of bucks? Think about him and what could happen to him if he breaks the law just so you dont have to pay $10 extra to call an XL.

God, I don't understand why so many people think you'll let more than 4 people ride in a normal car. I'm a taxi driver and I have more than 4 people trying to get in my car at least once a week. One time it was our village's cop (but not on duty and drunk) too. Dude, NO

It is part of the booking process, it shows you have ordered a 4 passenger vehicle, there is option to order two or the xl version which can carry more. People just don't care they don't mind the driver getting a ticket and get banned for safety violation.

I don't understand the point of this video. The passengers made a mistake and did try to take advantage of you, I don't disagree with that. But they also consented to leave with basically no trouble whatsoever. Aside from trying to squeeze 5th person into a four-person car they didn't really do any sort of abuse or rudeness. this is the system basically working as it is supposed to. If you try to bring to many people you get told to leave the car and then you leave. The entire thing took less than 90 seconds this is barely worth a tweet Much less an entire video.

What for? They chose the option that only seats 4 people. You have to do XL or Lyft Plus for 5-6 people. He's doing rounds on regular tier which is only for 4. He doesn't need to do shit because most people don't select Plus and it's on them idiots for not knowing how to read what they select. You need to show empathy. Something like “sorry folks, the max I can have is 4 people. Did you want to try and call another lift/uber? Or I can take 2 of you then come back?” Just saying sorry and please exit the vehicle makes you look more like a jerk even though I know your following the TOS agreement and whatnot. Offer a solution instead of being stern.

The whole "I can take 2 of you then come back" doesn't work. It all goes through the app and there's no way to request a specific driver. He could have taken a few of them, yes, and the others could have gotten their own. But, these are grown ass adults who can figure that out on their own. All he said was "I can only take 4 people" and the one girl immediately got defensive and got out and said "fuck you Kenny". At that point, there was no reason for him to be nice anymore, and yet he still remained professional.

The majority of people that use lyft don’t travel in packs of 5 or more, so there’s no point in getting a larger car when customers (like the ones in this video) could easily just choose the option to order bigger car, and not break the law. The driver handled the situation well.
