    It actually makes sense in some scenarios, for example on my level of 1000-1100 if i win a free queen i will be happy to sac mine for a rook even, just so that i don't lose it and still keep an advantage

    @salvage20 you don't get to 2700+ elo without also being good at tactics! I can imagine these players picking it apart with more time in rapid or blitz, but bullet is perfect... Eric is expecting a confusing game the other player has to spend at least 10secs going, "wtf" 🤣

    The Tesseract, Cube, or The All-Spark are a couple names I can think of off the top of my head. The goal of the opening is to make a central mass of pawns so something around that seems fitting.

    This was such a fascinating stream… The ability for Eric to just sacrifice so much material intentionally and utilize the pawn structure and open files for his rooks and queen felt like there’s so much potential there in speed chess 😂

    Why not develop the knights in front of the pawns, for example c3 then e4 and hope the opponent trades their f6 knight and you can then move a pawn to the center with fxe4

    I would call it the "Semi Cow's oppening, Rosen's central cube variation" opening... you know, despite the fact that is not a cube but a square and that we could call a "Rosen's cube" any square formation of pawns whenever it happens (like some instances in the Stafford gambit) :P
