Are u dumb it’s just that he isn’t using a proper cord I’ve got about 10 that charges but doesn’t connect my controller and only like 2 that actually connect it

I had this issue today 11/30/23 tried all the methods of trying to get the controller to reconnect & after going through 3or4 different cables my son had on his bedroom floor i finally used one of mines and immediately it reconnected. So using the correct cable definitely got my vote for the solution to this problem. 👌🏾

So there are two types of micro USB cables, one is a charging cable (which will not sync controller to the ps4) and the other is charging and sync cable (which will sync the controller to the ps4)

Force shut down your playstation, then turn it on by keeping your finger on the power button let there be 2 beeps. have your controller connected to the ps, and then it’ll take you to a boot settings page, hit “restart” and once everything boots up your playstation remote should connect. Just make sure your remote stays connected w the cable to whole time. Also some cables dont have the ability to transfer information, but to just pass charge. Make sure your cable has the ability to do both.

It's a common problem with the PS4 controllers, sometimes you get a bad controller, try all the reset buttons and it should work

It’s the cable, I had this exact issues that’s how I stumbled upon your in the first place. All you have to do is getting official PlayStation 4 cable and it’ll connect. No problem. Hope this helps.

No. This happens to me alot recently. Unplug ps4 completely from wall. Hit ps button while unplugged and then plug it back in fast while it's still trying to connect. This should work every time.... it did for me

Thats happend with me, The same model of your, and i Just drain his charge, put in the charger, and then, press ps and share, after doing this, Go to settings, bluetooth, and you connect the wireless controller. You could also use your other controller to sync the blue one in the settings menu under devices hold down the ps and the share button till it starts blinking then sync it in the menu while it flashes

It's the wire your using I've had this problem. The cable your using just provides power to the controller You need to buy a data cable they're usually a bit more expensive. Or just get one from a game shop 👌

Bruh all you gotta do is download remote play on your phone and launch it and connect to your playstation once its connected go over go setting on the playstation then to devices then to bluetooth devices amd you will see wireless controler you click it then press options and forget device then on the controller hold down the share and playstation button untill ot rapidly blinks then connect to your controller when it pops up

Maybe it depends the cable clise some cables charge but not all works to connect to the PS4 or press share and ps button

Go to your Bluetooth settings. Hold the ps button and share button (on the non working controller) until it blinks white rapidly. That will put it in Bluetooth search mode. The non-working ds4 should show up and you should be able to select it.

Did u connect it to a different device previously such as your phone or computer because if so turn off Bluetooth on that device then it should work

I know this is stupid question but did you remove all Controllers directly off the PlayStation but un-synchronising them and then attempting to connect it to the PlayStation? Because sometimes this happens due to this.

I had to do a micro usb port swap, it’s pretty easy to figure out what you need and put it in, and it only cost about 15- 20 bucks including swapping the battery with a 2000 mAh essentially doubling the battery life

It’s a cable you have to buy or have to connet the right way u need a black cable like a one that can transfer data off of connet the cable to ps4 then the controller then it should work if not get a long black cable one of those cables

Its just kinda weird how everyone's playstation 4 is messed up when the ps5 comes out

Ok so this is old video and I’m going to post something that help me just now cuz I was having this same problem… so for anyone who might come across this do this! Turn ps4 on, then on the controller press and hold ps bottom for 3 seconds then wait till the light stops blinking, next press and hold both the share button and ps button at the same time your ps controller light will blink rapidly. Next go to settings then devices and Bluetooth and you should see your controller on there click on it and it will ask if you want to pair it to ps4 click and it should start working 😊 hope this helps.

I forgot to mention you need another controller that’s already paired to go to settings and click on all the options you need to to pair the controller you are trying to pair. I have yet to find a way to do this wirelessly without the use of another controller sorry.

I just hold the rest mode button on the ps4 for 7 until it turned off

If you do the wireless connect and go to Bluetooth settings with your working controller You should see your door shock four and another one that you’re not connected to then you just connect to it there

I had something similar happen if you can change your controller connection settings to wired rather then Bluetooth then try and plug it in and try connect unless you’ve found a fix

You need an usb cable and plug it in the ps4 and the ps4 controller and then press the ps4 button

Just make sure the cord you try to plug into the controller is strong enough to reconnect it

The same thing happened to me, all I had to do was blow in the port from the PS4 your charging it from and the controller charging port

Did you open or did someone open your PS4? The WiFi or Bluetooth antennas are connected incorrectly.

Just use another cable to conect controller to ps4

Connect it to your phone then cut on Bluetooth, then try again. Works every time

Take a needle and press factory reset button at the back

I think the actual USB port is broken in the PS4. You can consider changing it

I had this happen where I tried 4 different cables and nothing worked, bought a new cable and it worked. Not sure why.

There is a small hole in the back press is with a paper clip or sim eject tool

Have you tried the Bluetooth Connection?

That happened to me a couple of times it's just because your PlayStation has overheated so I would recommend you to plug your console and wait till it cools down

I added the solution by holding the PS button and the Share button for 5 seconds to activate pairing mode.

Just had the same issue. Just had to make sure the wire is a data cable and not just a power one

Ok this works for me every time. What ur gonna wanna do is take a mean poop on the ps4, then clean it using windex, then grab your controller and flush it down the toilet in pee water, next grab it from one of the pipes. And try turning it on. If that doesn’t try throwing it at a wall.

You can try to use another USB cable to connect it to the ps4

I'd suggest if you have another controller connect that and go to bluetooth devices and on your red controller click the share button and ps button and wait for the light bar to start blink and as soon as it shows up connect your controller

That problem happened to me maybe u need batteries or when ur playing ur moving it a lot and it disconnects the controller now I play Xbox but i don’t know how it would make a difference

You need the usb that comes wit the ps4

It's probably because that charger is only to charge stuff, not for data connection. Maybe try getting a charger with data transfer or something

Just use playstation remote play and connect your controller from bluetooth settings

Use the og charger or the last one that worked because you are using a different or new controller.

O Just unplug it out the charger restart ps4 And it should work if that doesnt work then buy a New charger

There's a veeeeery small hole on the back of the controller that you can press with a pin to put the controller back into pairing mode. This should fix it.

Maybe the cable has only wires for charging not for data. Use a other cable

I’m currently experiencing it and trying to figure out how to fix it

You put controller charger in a USB slot on the tv and make sure your controller flashes then take it out and put in the PlayStation charging slot

What you need to do is hold the power button and the share button the. You should see flashing blue light at the front of the controller that means it is ready to pair

It’s actually the cable, had the same problem. Use a usb 3.0 cable

I have forgot other controllers in bluetooth options menu. Than disconnected the one already recognised, than i used long micro usb cable and connceted the other controller manually. After that everything worked and i could again switch between them normally.

Make sure it's a micro usb that can both send and receive data.

Do a manual update, you should be able to find it on the PlayStation websight and It will tell you how to do it. FYI it's really easy

I had this problem too g, what I did was hold the ps button on the PlayStation until it powered off (not rest mode) then I pulled the power cable out and plugged it back in. Pressed the ps button on controller and worked immediately

I'm having almost the same problem One of my new controllers. I got a few weeks ago It's not glowing up.Actually it's not working so I tried the charger did everything to see if that some reason it's not working

It might be a problem with your device and not the controller. Try a factory reset.

You can't, I have the same one I tried everything and it's not working. So Get a new controller

Try going to settings and then Bluetooth devises go to where you see all the connected controllers press forget devise on the one that isn’t working and then try again to connect it it should pop up at the bottom and then press connect

There is a little hole on the back where u can rest the control i had too do that today
