Tom Cruz sometimes the usb doesn’t work with the ps4 because the ps4 is picky so keep trying different ones, because my usbs worked with my bluetooth headphones but didn’t work with controller so keep trying

I have a new controller that does not charge at all. I tried 2 cables that I know it works with my old controller but it does not work with my new controller. Controller died. So I thought it was the battery.. So I opened both controllers, swap battery and old controller started charging the battery from the new battery however the new controller that didnt charge, of course didn't charge lol.. so more than likely is that little board? The controller that never charged was brand new...

The PS4 dual shock is the only controllers in the history of all my consoles that has given the most grief by not charging anymore. The PS3, PS2, PS1, Genesis, NES, etc, controllers are still going strong.

Ahmed Hossam same, but that means either you have a weak charging port in your controller, or weak charging cable , plug your chord into something else and see if it charges

First off, I respect the video! I always appreciate someone trying to help others out. I just wanted to give an update. I have 4 different ps4 controllers. 2 of them the blue strip on the connector was facing towards the battery and the other two the blue strip was facing away from the battery. I recommend anyone who takes apart their controller to pay attention to what side this is facing. Take a picture just to be sure!

Why if you have the blue side facing the wrong way could that make it not charge the guy in the video says if the charge port is bent a little that it is broken and that's why it's not charging but mine isn't bent at all and still doesn't charge I think the ports are badly designed in general not because it might be bent so replacing the port won't do you any good they need to redesign it to have a better connection word of advice when controllers start to be cheaply made it's time to retire from gaming

My controller won’t even turn on the ps4 even if it’s charging but it still turns on randomly

Definitely recomend this video. The cord that attaches the front and back part of the controller unhooked inside mine. Taking it apart and reattaching the wire fixed my controller. Thanks!!!

I connected my red controller to my phone today and I disconnected it from Bluetooth and sense then it will not connect to my ps4 I plug it into the ps4 and press the ps4 button and it flashes white. It doesn’t flash yellow so it’s not on Bluetooth. I tried two diff charging cables. I even tried plugging it into the wall. My black controller stopped charging a few weeks ago and I have no idea why. I plug it in and it flashes green and says the battery is low. I need help FR. You are so awesome. After figuring my good controller had it's port go out, I found this video. I also had a different controller that charged just fine but the left thumb stick was unresponsive, so I just switched the backs and voila, works like a charm, and has this really cool custom purple and red feel to it now. You are awesome and I appreciate the awesome content.

Can you tell me where the LED is located? I thought it was on the charging port board. My controller is a CUH-ZC72U. It got wet and I can't tell if it's charging, but it does charge. I also have a PSVR so I kinda need that light to function. I don't know which replacement board I need.

Hey man idk if your reading comments or if anyone is, but my light bar shorted out and obviously the charger port is on the same board as the lightbar so that fried to, the PS4 was 1 bar of battery so I turned it on after I repaired my joystick, and saw the light bar didn’t work and the controller didn’t charge, I know that the dock would charge it, but if my controller for whatever reason decided to unsync itself from my PS4 would I be able to re sync it throughout the dock? If it was a USB connection one?

For those who are trying to use their wired controller (doesnt have to be wired, but are using a wire to connect a controller to pc) with a pc, try unplugging the usb from the PC and replug it in the back, this has helped me multiple times (what it does is reset the connection the pc has with the controller, however you can also reset the connection the controller has with the pc by pressing the button on the back for a complete reset [Note: you will need an application such as Steam, DS4, or something similar for your controller to connect to a pc{without it it will simply charge the controller}])

Mine turn orange when it’s charging. But it won’t turn on completely. Yes I tried the reset button 😂💯‼️
