How is the cable supposed to be orientated on the main board?

I was switching ribbon from a controller to another, and i think i did put it the other way, i putted it on my ps4, ps4 shutted down and not working at all. What happened?

Just did it with 2 of my old ps4 pads 1 wast aiming correctly and the other had a bad usb port swapped the backs and it works perfectly

@@Midas_Ong just literally take the back off the 2 ps4 controllers and swap them if you are having gameplay issues with one and usbc with another

You need to look into your model and see what parts are comparable, it shouldn’t be hard to figure out

So I know what my issue is it is the copper bits (guessing it’s copper) on the cable with the blue ends what can I do abt that or do I just buy a new controller?

You can buy the usb port "board" including the cable you're talking about for under 10 bucks like mentioned in the video

Would anyone know if I would have to overclock my controller again after doing this repair? Or does it stay overclocked? Would I need to remove the overclock, replace the charging port, then overclock again? I'm trying to figure it out before I do the repair as to not brick my controller thanks

No I don’t believe so I think just change the charging port and do not touch anything else

my usb has a different design

this video broke my pad, when he tells you to pull the ribbon cable "boom" this shreds all the wires making it useless

Dude you should have taken utmost care I like to take alot of time for such things so that nothing happens and if you forgot the right step you could have always just come back to the video to refer.

"We can see if simply replacing this fixes it". Then doesn't even test it
