Hiyama-san was voicing Joe since Fatal Fury 3, I believe. They changed a lot of voice actors in XIV, including Joe, who's now voiced by Kouzou Mito. So Joe has lost the only redeeming quality about him that he had.

If people want to support SNK, then I would recommend to buy the Steam version of this game. It is cheap and still such a beautiful and great fighting game.

The PC port has way better netcode than the console version. The PC version is bearable to a degree while console was literally unplayable.

There's also on GOG for people interested. It's called "King Of Fighters XIII Galaxy Edition". Aside for the name, it's the same game, and using GOG Galaxy I think you can play with Steam users online, but I'm not sure

When Max is willing to endure a mediocre/bad online you know that he has really fallen in love with a game.

The King of Fighters is a amazing fighting game series. It just always kind of falls under the radar to the FGC on a whole. SF, Capcom vs and Guilty Gear always steal everyones attention away. Super glad that in the last few years since XIII that these games have started getting more love from the FGC. I hope that KOFXV will be that game that will blow things up and put the series in the limelight over SF.

@@zakuguriin4521 maybe in usa that is so, but almost everywhere else kof is the first place. Guilty gear is niche franchise. At least it was until recently. Fun fact when snk went under lots of designers and programers went over to arc system works.

This game has an insanely beautiful combos system.

I just got the global version for the switch and it’s quickly becoming one of my favorites (I’m traditionally a sf guy but this is spectacular).

This has to be one of the most beautiful fightings I've ever seen. She also has to be one of the best fighting games ever, possibly best KOF game. Shame it didn't sell well. But, with KOF 14, Samurai Showdown, as well as KOF All-Star and the special guest appearances in other games, SNK is back and I couldn't be happier.

Kof all stars is not an SNK game

When this came out on 360 I didn't wait for netcode patches, I formed a local community around this game and was lucky enough to get a good mix of old school SNK players and people bored with SFIV from my work place together for bi-weekly fighting game nights where KOFXIII was the main event. This lasted about a year and a half, until I left the company and moved back to my home country. The group fell apart after that. Happy to see Max enjoying the game.

His Bodega-Bodega-Bodega combo? It's official: he's becoming Meximillian to play KOF!!!

Not defending Capcom at all, but KOFXIII was a competitor for SSF4 and SSF4 had unlockable colors for free. SFV in general os just trash. I really enjoyed it till I realized that Capcom was just gonna nickel and dime me for every single thing in the game. Thats when my love for SFV died

After seeing Max enjoy this game, I really hope he returns to this game once in a while like he does with Third Strike and KI just to play a few matches with fans and such though I'm afraid that character choices would be limited like mostly EX Iori and Mr. Karate. I wonder how Max would react if he saw Athena's butt juggle or Ash's Volleyball combos though.

The regular Iori in this game along with normal Kyo were considered strong and then Snk gave us EX Kyo and EX Iori who both were strong plus Ex Iori had an infinite in this game from his rekka move

I was so happy, excited, and scared when he decided to play this online on the stream. I was not disappointed~ lmao

KOF XIII's sprites is best waifu because they so damn pretty.

Honestly Max, you could just do nothing but 'Online Warrior KOHXIII' videos (at 4 bars, obv) for the next month and I'd be ok with it

It's an ordinary King corner loop combo. It's easy to perform. I'm not saying that it ain't sick, I meant that this 'sick' combo is very simple to perform and if you can, you can basically become a combo master.

I f***in' love that Nests Kyo Soundtrack, it make the matches more epic 🤩

@@mcknightmorgan2021...actually Capcom did fuck it up with SNK, back in 2000! Part of the deal that brought us CVS and CVS2 started that Capcom gets 100% of the profits of both the games they developed, and vice versa. A bad decision by SNK, but Capcom didn't help to promote SNK's game, even with Capcom characters in it. Based on that, it's no surprise that SNK wants partnerships with EVERYONE BUT CAPCOM...

Max and KOF 13 is the greatest love story ever.

Crazy how a couple of years ago it was well documented that Max hated King of Fighters and now he's going crazy with Shen's combos. I love it.

I understand him, after 6 years playing ps3 offline (where I lived did not get internet). When I first played online(yes in 2019) it was scary 😂

Again, thank you so much for giving it a chance Max! Yeah sometimes it’s chunky but when you find a good connection it works! I really enjoyed watching you play online on twitch! I really wished I had a cpu to play along.

Not to me, kof12 had a completely new engine so it made sense the way it came out. Thats like saying the og SF2 felt like a demo or beta

Love how this game looks so good, That it is almost like it is a brand new game and max is reviewing it.

I want 13's Pao Pao Cafe stage in every KOF! A gazillion different neon colors, yet it's so pleasing to the eye.

Watching this made me realize we need more fighting games that let you make custom colors lol

This is my favorite fighting game of the decade! Omg, I had so much fun playing the PS3 version with friends. I shed a tear for the poor netcode, but I think I'll jump back into the Steam version to run some sets! Thanks for the upload and nostalgia Max!

If you look at the background at 15:00 you'll see Knushwood Butt from Garou. Thought that was a pleasant little throwback.

Glad he had fun with king of fighters 13, because the online for this game and 14 when you find good connection, is really fun. :)

Facts. KoF13 was great grinding for wins. And KoF14 in its prime was great. Especially the party mode, 3v3 fights all day long.

Gratuitous amounts of fiery punches, BOGEDAS and UHHHN-DUHS...Kyo gameplay at its finest!

This game is a master piece. The best KOF games IMO are KOF96, 98, 02, XI and XIII.

Custom colour options really do get people to explode in all sorts of weird and kinda cool palettes, it'd be neat to see it more often.

Max I wanted to tell you about this hella badass channel I found here on KZread. Its a Korean channel that shows off death combos in earlier KOF titles. It's some super nutty ass shit. The KOF2000 and KOF2002 have some really badass death combos.

So glad ur FINALLY playing this game. In my honest opinion, this is the absolute epitome of a great fighter. HD drive is my favorite mechanic in any fighter ever. Pls try to learn Kim sometime, his combos are so much fun.

The reason i still play KOF XIII is the trial mode, its so much fun

Maximilian is in the core of fighters right now. I love seeing him getting into the meaty of the genre mentally and physically with this title. This is The King Of Fighters.

I think for all the KoFs out there, that's the one he figured out the fastest, nice matches.

Online on the Xbox 360 ran perfectly. I remember playing with people from Europe with no connection issues.

I still play this game sometimes. It was a really good one. I never swapped to 14, lol.

This game is so much fun. It really had the entire package. Hope one day we get another kof like this with great online even at 3 bars.
