Playing Stockfish Level 4 in Fischer Random

I play a rapid game of Fischer Random Chess (Chess 960), or what has recently been referred to as Freestyle Chess against Stockfish Level 4 on lichess. I share my train of thought while playing. Time controls are 10+10. I'm a self-taught National Master in chess out of Pennsylvania, USA who was introduced to the game by my father in 1988 at the age of 8. The purpose of this channel is to share my knowledge of chess to help others improve their game. I enjoy continuing to improve my understanding of this great game, albeit slowly. Consider subscribing here on KZread for frequent content, and/or connecting via any or all the below social medias. Your support is greatly appreciated. Take care, bye. :)

Stockfish doesnt have much of a scale between unbeatable and bored toddler. Chess 960 is really cool, will always get a click out of me.

Hey Jerry great video as always. Since this was a vs computer game and we were focused on the first 20 moves it might have been fun to see you check quickly with the engine if your ideas and thought processes were correct.

Nice 👍. His mind was seemingly on the improvement of the cornered knight, grabbing kingside space, and giving his rook some air.

Yeah, I would suggest he plays level 5 or 6 instead for more instructional value. Level 4 still gives away pieces for free. Level 5 too, but that is more that it allows simple tactics, not that it doesn't take back, which is in most situations just silly.

Level 4 is way too low for you; it makes all kinds of ridiculous moves at that level.

First level I have problem with is level 6 even though I still usually win. Level 7 is just ridiculously strong for me. I have tried the bad Grob recently just to get some experience and then even level 5 beats me sometimes which almost never happens with a normal opening.

On move 4 instead of Nd3 I was hoping you would try Nf3. I'm not certain if it's good enough for an engine but the idea was that if Black plays Nxf4 then you have d4 attacking both the Q and the N. The only move I saw that black could defend the knight would be Qd6, but then you'd have Ne5 cutting off the connection and also threatening Nxf7.
