I'm rooting for Shawn's channel to keep growing. From when I last checked on 06/05/24 Shawn has 43.4K subscribers (including me) with 340 videos. I'd like to see and purchase a full performance of solos with backing track lessons from Shawn Tubbs. I like the way his lessons are simplified by explaining the chord shapes that he's using in his solo concepts.

Please continue to create these little lessons Shawn. Ive always had a similar approach to guitar as you (shape based) but never fully understood the theory behind why I liked the sounds that I like. You breaking down Robben Ford type phrases has been super helpful for me. EX) Explaining replacing the b7 with the 6 in the Pentatonic scale or the 13b9 before the IV chord. I know I like the sound of that, just didnt know what it was until you explained it. Also glad to see you coming out of your shell as a KZread personality too. Not that your first gear review videos werent great (which they totally are) but its nice to see you having fun behind the camera

More homework, you're such a hard task master 😢 PLEASE DON'T STOP!!! In the next vid could you show a little more on your right hand? I know you play quite straight most of the time but you often put little skips in your riffs that would be great to break down. Lastly, could you use the Dude for one of these, you say you use it lots but I just don't believe you coz we don't hear you play it. I bet you put it in a cupboard in a spare room because it's been naughty and the Majestic has taken its place 😭

Learn the ROVER Led Zeppelin....The Song is in A MAJOR/F#min. it's slower ...so you can riff it...and get the idea. it's Basically E mixolyian...But Jimmy is going to bend the b3....and the 2nd and b7. The rest of the song will make sense to you.. He'll sort of slide into the G maj chord back down to F# min The G Maj is sort of like the N6... But you'll hear another guitar just playing the arpeggio of F# min..E maj...D maj..ect then it's just descend to C# min, B min It's just the DOMINANT Pentatonic. R...x...2...x...3............b5..........b7....x..R. X= Option Passing notes The Mode from the 5th is R.........b3...x....4.....x....5...x...6...........R ( dorian ish becuase of the maj6) The INLAYS are in Dominant pentatonic You wanna learn it...so you can use it as a guide to modulate. There's DIAGRAM of the FRETBOARD....just google. You need to connect the entire 5 jig saw patterns....your brain will adjust. it's helpful if you learn the 5 modes in it too. G, B, D, F = B dim/G......extended to Mix b2 = B full dimished. Harmonic min b5 and melodic min b5 ( b6 and Maj6) = Full diminished W/H 4th mode Dorian b2, #4 and Lydian dominant b2 ( b3 and maj3) or you can modulate using these dominant ish modes from various scales Some these modes has b3 and Maj3....it's just counted as #2, 3 or b3, b4..that's all. such as mix #2, #4....you can play that as min7, dominant, half or full dim. mix mix #2 mix #4 mix #2, #4 Mix b2 Mix b6 mix b2, b6 mix b2, #4 phy b4 loc b4 ion #6 lyd #6 Ion #5, b7 Ion #4, #5, b7
