Love Baum! I have one of their Conquer 59s. Saw Stefan Fast from the Pedal Zone playing one and was smitten. Great to play, pickups (Jabmasters) sound amazing clean and with dirt, a Bigsby, and a super comfortable weight. Thanks for spotlighting this builder! Great video!

Morten Baum has hit the spot with the Original Series (the one you're holding). Lots of our greats bands and songwriters from Denmark play Baum Guitars. Check out e.g. Alex Vargas or The Minds of 99.

Beautiful instrument. The quality, design and craftsmanship are similar to Danish design furniture from the 50s and 60s = absolute top-of-the-line. The sound ❤❤ Definitely on my "waiting list". A instrument of this caliber makes me happy....😊

Pickups on the Baum Wingman sound like a P90 crossed with a Strat SC, the perfect tone!

Just found out about these guitars last night and was checking them out and then Boom here you are with a review of the very same Wingman that got my attention! Love the looks of this guitar and it sounds fantastic but then again you can make practically any guitar sound good Darrell! Will be checking these guys out thanks for the great review! 👍👍

I normally stick to classic body designs in all my guitars, however, I like this one. It is certainly worth the 1599. They have on price. Thank you Darrell

Sounds like a p90/jazzmaster pickup hybrid. Amazing.

That's really cool! I have a Squier J Mascis Jazzmaster that I love and it has a similar aesthetic vibe to it. That said, I'm usually a Les Paul guy, so it'd be a lot of fun and maybe worthwhile to check one of these out to compare differences and similarities.

Sounds and looks great! Gotta check these out.

I bought ones of these without the bigsby a few weeks ago. Killer guitar but there’s definitely a lot of neck dive without the extra mass on the bridge. Still, no regrets. Killer instrument.

Hi Darrell! Love your videos. I thought for sure when you first showed this guitar that it was a Gibson Firebird with exception of the headstock which is reversed. Surprised me that it was something different. Have a great day.

Picking on of their colors is tough but, I keep going back to this white one. Really want to order it.

At $1200.00 USD it certainly is competitive. The PU pole pieces appear to be 6 separate magnets but with a wide coil. It is in the Jazzmaster category of PU's.

I love guitars with P90s. This looks great with that roasted maple neck & rosewood.

Love look of pickups and they really sound good a cross between a P90 and a humbucker. Will you be keeping it and check it out over time to see how it holds up?

As always a great review. Only issue I have with guitar makers in general after playing most everything in 50 yrs of playing. When making a $1700 guitar why not offer S/S frets. Honestly, I can buy a well made guitar off of Amazon for under $500 with S/S frets/LocTuners/Roasted neckts/VG electronics etc., and many are very nice players.

Love the pick guard. The body style reminds me of Hanson guitars out of the Chicago area…especially the Hanson Cigno with bigsby

Those are our own single coils! :) A custom-designed pickup in a P90 enclosure, which gives you this punchy and special voiced sound that's very versatile. Cheers!

You should have mentioned that they have a similar lower end model with same body shape as The Wingman in the "Vega" series. On Sale now for $800, without bigsby, and only dot inlays. Would love to hear that one and get your take on it (Since I can't afford $2800 for one guitar)

Darrel, you should try some instruments from a company called Prestige Guitars! Their DC Coupe Custom Hybrid T model can go head-to-head with any expensive tele! And it looks great too! :)

Very cool guitar, thanks for the review! I noticed (but I could be wrong?) that with the overdrive, you lose a lot of bottom end. Now that could be the recording, it could be the type of overdrive/ settings, but the clean sounded a lot better and richer to me than the drive tone. Could that be the pickups, sounding thinner and flatter (agian, it could be the recording and I could be entirely wrong) when the signal coming from them is boosted? Or does this have nothing to do with the core sound?

Fender scale snap. Non reverse Firebird with P-90 beef. Danish Pete might retire his tele for one of those.

I got excited when you said they were made in South Korea and made it sound like they were more budget friendly. Great looking and sounding guitar, but in the $1200 price range for this, I’ll just move along and try and forget this kick ass guitar ever existed.

How do the volume and tone controls live up , is there a long sweep does it loose too end or ? will be useful to know hear the effect

Its really, really cool - a lot to like. But not beefy enough with gain, I feel... A little tinny sounding. Ive got an SG (Gibson) with a minihumbucker in the bridge...and its a little tinny, and not the beefiness you get from a full sized HB. This may be different in the room, in your own hands though
