Playing In The First Tribes 3 Tournament

This past weekend I got a chance to captain a team in the first ever Tribes 3: Rivals tournament, the Rivals Rumble. It was a draft tournament, meaning ANYONE could sign up to get their first taste of competitive Tribes. Despite crashes and balance issues, the vibes were amazing, I had so much fun leading a team and competing in the first real glimpse of a Tribes 3 esports competition. Hope you enjoy the VOD!

Your teams murder ball of mediums and pass-heavy strat on DC was so strong. We were trying to run 3 cappers (John, Vaxity, and me) and striuggling to get through the defense. Towards the end i switched to HO to try to break the d up with flag stand spam like we have always done since tribes 1 xD. Started to work but it was too late to swing the game! Fun to watch from the other perspective. GG again --Arteis

Any idea when/if they are bringing back vehicles and base upgrades? My favorite class was engi in tribes ascend
I know CTF is played out, but this.. this is peak CTF and I cant wait. I grew up playing Tribes 2 and Team Fortress(not TF2 but TF1 using the Quake 1 engine). This has the potential to be one of the best and biggest PVP games ever released if done properly.

Biggest? Absolutely not, barrier for entry is too high. Hopefully it wont die like TA

@@Alimentasable I meant biggest CTF PVP. What's the biggest right now, Halo Infinite? It's peaking at 3K-5K active players.

the gameplay on Dangerous Crossing looks great. there's a reason the map is a classic!

do you think punting is too good in this patch? what about stealth/phase? or is it balanced out by the speed cap & low lateral control?

There's not doubt punting should be tuned down a little bit. That said, I really love how strong punting is right now, so I hope it's not nerfed too hard. Phase/stealth is already being adjusted, confirmed by Prophecy/Erez. I would like to see more lateral control.
I didn't even know this game existed still. I thought it was cancelled or abandoned.

yes! they recently made it so that sensors reveal cloaked players in the latest patch, which elevated the importance of generators/sensors massively. lots of focus on it in this tournament!

I really enjoy watching your content. I was an avid Starsiege and T2 player. I just found T3 recently and I am beyond ecstatic about it. However, I am struggling to get back to my old ways. Does this game require the installation of Denuvo anti cheat?
Its crazy me nowadays theres a whole split between competitive and non. When I used to play fps's back in like 2004-2007/08 it just felt like one big cohesion. I would go up against godlike players that honestly u could say are competitive players. Then again fps games back then were made different. Just join lobbies and have fun.

This draft tournament was open to everyone... We had players who had never competed in anything before, players who's last competitive match was Tribes 1 OGL in 1999, and hardcore vets who competed in multiple tribes. You should join the next one!

The physics are much better imo. Movement feels far snappier and more exhilarating. Cool new abilities like blink. Etc.
Would be cool if it was in 3rd person
