I consider myself to be a little bit more informed about this artist and the genre they work in, and I think respecting the history of this niche genre is way more important than rping as some sort of weeb cultist on youtube, so welcome to a small history lesson on ------ type music/the immitation community, and the off shoots of that sort of music! To start with, we need to go back go Nico Nico Douga, and to an UTAU artist who remains unamed after events that I'll talk about momentarily. They were a fan of using the default UTAU voicebank (defoko/uta utane) and their own voicebank which shared the name of their online handle. they had a small yet bustling fanbase, and they wished for their music to stay on NND and not be shared about as they didnt want to be too well known. Unfortunately, some people didnt really care about these wishes, and so their music found their way onto KZread. Long story short they got rightfully upset, deleted all their works, told people not to spread their name or works further, and deleted their social accounts. In tribute to this artist, as we no longer know where they are, there is a community of artists who use UTAU, Vocaloid, and their own voices who create songs inspired by ------, its a small tradition to name the songs in a way that cant be easily searched, but other genre conventions involve certain chord progressions, the same style of music video the original artist liked to use with small sprites of the voicebanks used and flashing boxes, aswell as ocean life being main themes in the songs lyrics. The artist in This video specifically (known as X0o0X_ on their twitter and spotify) is known for their original compositions based around the themes of japanese urban legends, with a seperate channel where they upload the official Vocaloid versions of their songs , but they have made their own song in the ------- style before. Their music is difficult to search, and as such is more likely to only show up in algorithmic recomendations. Some people take this is as a Sign That They Are Chosen but in reality theyre more likely to be a fan of Vocaloid music, otomads/ytpmvs, and old NND memes ;) This artist also covered Big Brother by kaku p-model- as for some reason theres a noticable overlap of hirasawa's music and the immitation community, maybe because both types of music are popular as bgms for otomads? Anyway, hope somebody found this facinating, i personally like NY and subeteanatanoseidesu if youre looking for more music in the ------- style! And please note that not everyone in the immitation community is like ------, they dont often want people to shy away from enjoying their works and some of them even have their music on spotify! So please support them if you enjoy this funky little niche :)
