This is a video in my new Core Concepts series -- designed to provide students and lifelong learners a brief discussion focused on one main concept from a classic philosophical text and thinker.
This Core Concept video focuses on book 1 of Plato's dialogue, The Republic, and discusses specifically the "traditional" conception of justice articulated by Polemarchus there -- a view which says justice is doing good to friends and bad to enemies.

this lesson made me consider how a parent makes a conscious decision on how to mold their children into the beliefs they want them to have. Good or Bad - at what point can one make the decision to change ourselves into what we believe is good and or bad and why would we choose to do so? Thanks for the video!
