This is a video in my new Core Concepts series -- designed to provide students and lifelong learners a brief discussion focused on one main concept from a classic philosophical text and thinker.
This Core Concept video focuses on book 2 of Plato's dialogue, The Republic, and discusses ways in which justice is typically represented by family, media, and other sources of moral education -- namely as an instrument, rather than intrinsic good

A Core Concept video, about what people really say to children about right and wrong -- should you do the right thing, and be a good person, because that's intrinsically valuable? or because it gets you the other things you really want?
