There was some article in Yahoo, a few weeks ago, about benzoyl peroxide being a carcinogen. I haven’t seen it anywhere else so I don’t know how accurate that is. 🤷🏻♀️ Also, if collagen will not penetrate the skin, why is it in a lot of skin care? Since collagen is a large protein it shouldn’t be able to be absorbed, pure or mixed within something. 🤔 Right?
I don’t know why people are so unhappy about getting older. 😊getting older is better than the alternative

I agree. So many people talk about how they wish they could be a kid again. I'll never understand that. The older you get the more you learn, grow, and evolve. Who cares about a few wrinkles?
I love how after almost every video you let out a disappointed sigh before you begin talking 😂 Yeah. I feel that way too.

Lard or beef tallow + heat cooks food. If you put that on your skin and go out in the hot sun, won't you cook your skin? I remember a time my mother and her cousin covered themselves in Crisco, laid out to tan, and had some serious regrets.

The tallow doesn’t cook your skin, it’s not the same as crisco either. Tallow is natural and can absorb into your skin, coconut oil, castor oil are all natural. Crisco, baby oil (mineral oil), sit on top of your skin and concentrate UV rays burning your skin. Not sure what oil is in the butt paste with the zinc oxide but you see here she uses it at night while sleeping. Using at night they are used to soften skin not for tanning so not the same.

Apple cider vinegar in a spray bottle helps with my armpits. My right side was giving me issues. I don't use traditional deodorant/antiperspirant. They itch, and I don't trust the ingredients. For years,I have sprays with salts, which worked. My right side started to get immune to it. Probably more bacterial and age. Results may vary.

Yeah, I really don’t like that dermatologist.
No, if you look up snail farming, it's actually mortifying!!! It's torturous how they feed the snails And keep them!!!!! No one's following their snails, Dr. Youn
What they actually do to get snail slime is put them in a tank with mesh on the bottom. Farmers then release a gas that triggers their mating instinct. They start to excrete tons of mucin.
Snails are so cute :3!
Love your reactions😂 thanks for sharing your knowledge with us dr youn🙏🏻
I have to admit I bought the foreo bear after watching one of your other videos. I don’t think it’s the best thing in the world but I do enjoy using it and I’ve had comments my face looks more sculpted so I don’t know. 🤷🏻
Thanks, Dr. Youn ❤
The diaper rash on the face was the funniest clip. If people are following snails collecting the slim, I can't help but wonder how sterile the slime is. They must treat it some how. The only thing I use on my face is sun screen. From watching other clips of Dr. Youn, I keep thinking I should try retinol cream. I stopped using makeup on my face especially eye makeup since my left eye is hard to control and there was one time I accidently got mascara on my eye. I think I am lucky though because I am in my 70's and I do not have facial wrinkles.

I only use moisturizer. I tried retinol because my dermatologist recommended it it some point, but it only made my face way drier. I already have a dry skin problem, so that just made it worse. For people with more normal skin though, it's probably really good for.
The benzoyl peroxide works for pits and feet! I think I had a stress induced issue where my feet just stank out of nowhere. And it was horrible. I now wash my feet every day, first with benzoyl peroxide (10%) and then with selenium sulfide (dandruff shampoo). Since then, I've had no issues.
I do my own version of retinol sandwich. I do first use a good amount of Peptide serum, the Retinol & then a thick moisturizer 😊

I discovered the magic of zinc oxide by accident. I spend lots of time in the sun working around the farm and in addition to long sleeves and hats/scarves I've been using high spf mineral sunscreen. I slather that stuff on thick. After a few weeks I notice that my 64-year-old skin is looking much smoother and more evenly toned. Zinc oxide for the win!

Dr. A dude in Italy developed a steam method of extracting snail mucin without harming the snails!

At 59, I use a commercial pure Tallow soap. My skin is a lot softer and cleaner. I no longer wear makeup foundation, just a CC cream.
Great, Doc. I first heard bakuchiol from you. Now using retinol with bakuchiol from dermorepublic and it’s been great so far 😊
Snail Mucin is commercially available and I refuse to put that on my face They stress out the snail and it's so inhumane but also I don't want any type of snail mucin or snail anything on my face
i would love if you did a video on tween/teen skincare to gently remove blackheads and prevent or treat pimples, and if you have any recommendations for keratosis pilaris as well that would be fantastic!
I misheard "Bakuchiol" for "Urushiol" and had a strong "HUH?"
I rather have a different type of slime on my face than that lol😊
Can you discuss the latest research on teratogenicity of topical retinoids in an upcoming video? They are often recommended, yet I’m hesitant to use them because of this potential safety concern. I’d love to know your thoughts! Thanks!
Malassezia or Fungul Axne can be made absolutely pandemic level with beef tallow. Denidex, the eye mites are also fed by it. Remember, although they are called eye mites, thise who have Demodex Follicularum also have the cousin, Denidex Brevis which live in the pores on your face and can create disfiguring acne. 🤷
My grandmother, born in 1902, knew an awful lot about nearly everything. Old folk remedies. And she used them. I forgot about most of it. I had a huge wart just sitting on the web between my thumb and my forefinger. Sat there for years. When I suddenly remembered what she had taught me: find a snail in the garden and let it walk over your wart. I did. The next day the wart was gone and never came back.
Dr youn i been facing acne issues for about 4 years and yes I'm consulting a dermatologist she suggested few creams yet i wanna ask if there is any way to get rid of my acne scars and pores completely
Ha ha you showed the _exact_ diaper rash paste I personally use for my sunscreen. 😂
Vitamin C breaks me out. I’ve tried formulations with ferulic acid and it didn’t help. I’ve stopped using it. Does anyone have any advice or recommendations for skin that is reactive to Vitamin C?
I put diaper paste on my face. It costs $2.99 at Target for a large tube and it’s 40% zinc oxide which is stronger than any sunscreen. Because it’s thick and white you have to do it carefully. I put it on in the shower after I wash and dry my face then I spray my face with warm water and then blot with a towel. No more white but the zinc oxide is still all there and is a phenomenal sunscreen as well as a “sealer” for my moisturizer.
100% nappy rash cream mixed with Vaseline did wonders for my sons eczema.
I actually was dealing with some acne and break outs because of hormones in my 20s so I would actually use butt paste not on my whole face but it did help calm down the irritation and redness of break outs. So I would dab it on before I went to bed and then wash it off in the morning. So yeah it worked kind of well.
If you eat gelatin in your stomach, can it screw up your indigestion of food?
A coworker puts regular lotion onto his face and not lotion for the face. His skin appears perfect. Is it ok to use regular lotion on the face even if it doesn't say face?

For years my Mom and I used a vitamin E cream on our faces. I also used it in my body. Turned out it was "body cream" not "face cream". It worked so well on my face I used it on my body. We both have acne prone skin it didn't give us any issues. Just well moisturized skin.
So is the stuff you put on your nose to prevent sunburn
7:44 "Hey, smoothskin, got any rad-x?"

I don't use anything but whipped petroleum jelly. It's the only thing I've ever found that works on the dark circles under my eyes. Everything else I've ever tried either caused burn like reactions, or I was allergic. (For the record, I'm allergic to pretty much everything and the burn marks are common for me.) My eyes get so bad my son's friends ask him if I'm okay, and he says they ask a LOT. I mean, my health is horrible, but not so bad I should look that horrible. LOL
in terms of antibodies of botox, what if I alternate btw dysport n botox every now n then? cuz that's what I'm doing.
It does _not_ sound like that when you peel your skin. That was a metallic sound effect. 😂😂
Dr.,.. can you recommend a good Plastic Surgeon up here in Traverse City???
I used butter paste. There was ZERO change.
I felt my skin rip looking at the gelatine facial video. I have EDS so my skin is pretty prone to tearing. If that happens with band-aids (I once ripped off the entire epidermis when I took of a band-aid), I don't want to know how my skin would react to gelatin.
Does this mean I can use clearasil under my pits instead of lume? It will be much cheaper
You can just use sunscreen with zinc oxide. Less toxic than certain other sunscreens too.
You don’t need to put a whole snail on your face. But the snail goo is great for skin AND it’s very curl enhancing for us curly girls. 😇
I'm happy with my Retinaldehyde cream serum & my Theraface pro face device from Therabody (medical grade). I would never put snails on my face!!😳
Jeez I don't know - I've used hardly anything on my face through my life - sometimes full cleansing when in a city - and I've only got laughter lines in my mid-50s - so you can keep all these painful routines!
i use beef tallow and lard.. my skin is very soft and i look younger than my age...
That guy in the background of her video looks a lot like famous Canadian comedic actor Eugene Levy
I would rather have wrinkled skin than snails on my skin - no way!
I use carbolic bar soap and a mild hydration cream, my acne is better than ever, smh over the counter acne product never really did it for me.
Panoxyl will bleach your sheets and clothes. Even after washing off. I used to use it on my face and had to stop because of it.
The gelatin facial exfoliates and removes peach fuzz. It's not really about the collagen.
Oh, that's Dr. Idriss
You can definitely become botox resistant pretty quick actually. Ny daughter has cerebral palsy and botox is used as a treatment for it she stopped having any benefits after her 4th time getting botox
lol but zinc oxide is actually good for irritated skin…and you can find it in products actually made for the face
Snail slime can carry rat lung worm. But let survival of the fittest do its thing.

I love my snails with all my heart; They eat so clean their environment is kept Clean- I would never put their beautiful bodies on my face Ever!!!! They are covered in mites that you can't really see; They can poop at Random, their Slime really does not come off Without good scrubbing.

I’m 51 and I still refuse to use Botox… Am I starting to show some signs of age finally? Yes, but not the kinds I expected. I still have few wrinkles, but I’ve noticed my eyes drooped, which I’m not happy about. My eyebrows are very thin and my eyelashes are very short due to going through surgical menopause when I was 34 (ALL your hair thins and falls out, except on your face, you start growing whiskers). Had it not been for that unfortunate event, I probably wouldn’t look so old around my eyes. They look like my mother’s and she’ll be 75 this year. I won’t fix it… It’s a battle scar, I’ll just deal with it.
If you also have Alpha-gal, you do not want to be using beef tallow or any other mammalian products on your face or body.

it's an old Victorian thing for skincare
You dont want to remove odor from armpits. Especially if dating. Might seem gross to many, and by our standards, it is, but we produce a unique scent, all of us. This scent helps attract or dissuade potential mates. Those who are a match to your biological markers will find your natural scent plesant, whereas others find it gross and keep distance. This is helpful because it kind of thins thenherd in terms of appropriate matches. Its not just about looks that matter in reproduction, but genetic diversity and mixing. Perhaps those who find others scent attractive have a better body chemistry than those who find a persons scent to be bad. Scent markers can indicate personality types as certian types release different chemicals and amounts of those chemicals to indicate agressiveness, foods they eat, health, etc. While we may not conciousnessly recognize what individual chemical scents mean, we do know what smells good to us.
I've got butt paste on my face right now ❤😂
Ive used a beef tallow cream that was commercially produced. It does not make acne worse. I have fairly oily skin and it actually sunk in really easily and didnt make me greasy.
Lard yikes..that's no no smh
Could you react to aesthetic franco? He's a butcher, not a plastic surgeon
I hate to see what the benzoyl peroxide on your underarms will do to your clothes. It bleaches out towels!!
About "Beef tallow": Humans are not carnivores. We don't have the right type of teeth and claws to be carnivores. Cats and dogs are carnivores. Look at their teeth. They are not like human teeth.Cows and horses have blunt teeth like humans and cows and horses are plant eaters
If it’s pulling your eyebrows out just wash it off with water. Problem solved.
I do have a real question. (I also wrote the other of the two youtube-surgeons i know of) I really feel bad writing a comment about what others look like in this manner. But I am so interested in social and cultural changes and behaviours. So, here I go: I just watched latest season of Netflix ”Too Hot To Handle” and (half way in) there are several persons just looking ”off”, there is no ”good looking” or ”not good looking”, its just ”off” and i feel like my brain cant compute the face or even the age of it. All i see is multiple surgeries and then I wonder if it is all of them together givning me so mixed aestethics, or what? Different surgeons on same face, does that make and difference? Then I think about all the really young people watching 😢 I just see things just looking FIXED and then I cant even tell if it is good or bad. Are we gonna look back and see whole generations altering their appearence? Will it change our brains or perception of faces? Does not everyone see what I see? Is it my age, are younger generations More used to fixed noses for example? This is for real a serious question, i am so into the psycology of it. I lived so many years with body- and face-dysmorphia, so no judgement or shaming, just honest curiosity. Just wanted to write all that to try to eliminate some possible missreadings. Is there any research done? When you stop looking like family and later, your own kids, does that affect us? Thanks! (English is not my first language, OBVUOUSLY, so bott me and my phone keep messing up the spelling. Hope you get the bigger picture despite that.
