@@Vaguer_Weevil You forgot about Rux, the man who literally owns a Black Market and sells those Legendary Costumes for the equivalent of 10 bucks. So what he's saying, is that Rux probably won't be selling the costumes and you can get them in the Reward-O-Tron. EA finally used their brain for once, realizing they shouldn't have made another form of currency in the first place.

@@meta1429 What? I'm talking specifically about an entirely new character to play as. They advertise unlocking characters yet there's only one to unlock, all other characters are available from the start. More was planned but it's all been scrapped because the game wasn't squeezing enough money out of people, and each update kept ruining the game further so there were hardly enough players left to make money off of. About two days before the game's first anniversary even the developers themselves abandoned it. Even I left it, and I played both Garden Warfare games for hundreds of hours each despite their flaws, Neighborville was a hard one to drop.

Even though support was dropped the least they could’ve done was add cross play support. That could’ve given it more longevity

This is such an amazing port. It may not have the 60fps of PC and the other consoles, but the game can be played offline with no problem and it has done something that has been thought impossible for an EA game: having absolutely zero microtransactions.

And a week after they released the game they updated it to patch (don't quote me but I'm pretty sure) ALL the ingame cutscenes to 60 fps! Pretty impressive! I was kinda sad because I thought it meant they were gonna actually bring the game back to life and add new purchasable upgrades and that iceberg lettuce character but that's expecting too much. Also the game still features lots of dynamic shadow casting for light sources! Like during the blight cap boss fight or the third objective of loggy acres, the blue light in that area also casts shadows! Very very very impressive! Loved it so far and it's a good way to fill your friends list

I love how there’s 2 groups: people who never knew this existed thinking it looks neat, and the people who’ve actually played it on Xbox knowing that they dropped support nearly instantly and sense the EA greed.

But the game is just super beautiful, always fun gameplay, and especially the rainbow stars were Delete which is pretty easy now. I have played the game since preorder and think it is worth it with all the effort we put in popcap.

@@DungarooTV there is no split screen in the switch version but you can invite friends to your group in the Online lobby. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a way to do offline ad-hoc like other multi-player games on switch.

Crazy Dave and Dr Zomboss are eligible to be fighters, Dave could use plants and if he is not in Zomboss could use the ultimate mech seen in PVZ1,GW2 the many mechs in PVZ2 and zombies

I still remember the simple days when this game was all 2D and you would watch kids play it on the bus... good times...😌

Wizard was just a scrapped character but with recovered assets. wildflower and TVhead are just AI but playable and Two New abilities. Sadly more characters was leftover but never used in Neighborville data

For people wondering what's different... It is confirmed on EA's website that the premium currency is completely removed and you only need to worry about coins for everything! Plus they let you unlock stuff from all 12 months of prizemaps whenever you want, plus you can play offline for the first time in a pvz shooter!

While it’s nice to have the game on the switch, the game is literally dead. It gonna bring little attention to any newcomers. But even, this isnt really fateful to the gw (different name, same style), so it basically now playing kiddie cod now instead of its uniqueness from gw and gw2

It’s nothing like COD its more of a overwatch/Tf2 styled game by that I mean theirs different classes each with different perks and abilities the game also has a lot of charm

Plants v. Zombies finally 'coming home' to Nintendo. Cartoon violence never looked so good. Can't wait to play this since I did not play it on other consoles.

The game sucks I remember pre ordering it and playing the beta early then just straight up canceling my pre order because it was so bad

when they showed the all-star clip it should have been a clip of me zooming around the map with bunny hops, would have made the game look fun af

Yeah, I would love to see that happen. I kind of don't like how multiple versions of _Plants vs. Zombies_ have content other versions don't. Please, PopCap, give us a definitive version, not versions with exclusive content!

Let's move forward not side to side or backwards. Wanna see more from this franchise? Then support it. I'm new to this and I have pvz2 on ps4 that I never played. I will give a second chance but that was mostly cus theres alot of other big shooters on ps4 than there are on switch. A cod game would decimate and be big seller on switch....so surprised why this hasn't happen. Will be looking forward to apex too!

This was an unexpected surprise, a welcome one for sure.
