The narration is very corny, but I’m glad they’re taking the marketing angle of “Mario’s in situations you would never expect him to be in” because that’s why I love this series.

While that's very funny, the cursing chests have an in-game backstory. It's locked behind a rather remote NPC in Rogueport who tells you lore in exchange for coins.

I love how he is proven wrong about how Hooktail can stop him, then he tries bringing up examples of things that Mario does BEFORE fighting Hooktail.

This game was my childhood. My first console was the GameCube and my first game was Paper Mario TTYD. This game introduced me to the video game universe. I’ve since gotten the Wii, Wii U, and now the Switch. My sisters and I have competed against each other to see who would win. I’m now in my early 20s while my sisters are late 20s. I asked my sister if she wants to relive the experience but she’s busy. I get it, it’s life. But for me, I still have time. I’ve preordered this game and I’ve never preordered a game before. I am so fascinated and excited to relive my childhood I feel like crying. Thank you so much Nintendo.

​@@zashinunes8191 The original came out in 2004 for GameCube. This is a remake from 20 years later (2024) for the Switch. It's a full-blown remake. If it looks very close to the original, that's because the original was already pretty much maxed out graphically. It really was a gorgeous game for 2004.

Same here. I liked the white outline, and I think it fits with Origami King’s plot of flat vs folded. TTYD’s Mario design looks more like a puppet, which fits with its stage play style.

They didn't reduce it, they just didn't add one. Because the original one on GameCube never had a white outline. It seems they did a pretty good job of using the style of the new games without overdoing it, so as to keep the original feel the same!

This voiceover guy is incredible! Bro sounds like Mr Krabs lol

Something to note at 0:47... Koops went into a defensive stance for a brief frame there (even though only Mario was targeted) So it looks like they are giving cues for when you're guarding. In the original there's only an animation for when you actually time the (super)guard right.

This looks awesome. Like when the camera pans around the castle. It really has depth.

He showed up as a side character in Bowsers Inside Story and Dream Team, with Dream Team being his last original appearance. Since then, he's only shown up in rereleases.

Since its been 20 years and this is like, a recent re-release remaster, I'd say it'd be nice if we went easy on NOT spoiling it for all the people who've never played this! a great one! Let them experience! I feel this one was a little tip-toeing on being a bit too close to spoiling some stuff, maybe not exactly directly, but meeting a lot of these characters in the context of for the first time really does make it magical! We can be nice and not spoil this for the newcomers along the way. :) It doesn't take that much effort to just be nice and also enjoy getting to see people experience this for the first time alongside those of us revisiting an amazing journey.

Nintendo is basically saying “Here, here, now you don’t have to pirate the game!!”

I realize Super Paper Mario tends to get alot of divided opinioons for ditching the turn based combat approach but personally I think the game is a banger. It tried something different and had a really great set of villains. On top of that is one of my favourite stories in a Paper Mario game. Bowsers Inside Story and Dream Team are my favourite Mario and Luigi RPGs. Super Mario RPG is very important since without it, the Paper Mario and the Mario and Luigi titles wouldnt have been the same. Played the remake a few months ago and absolutely loved it! :). Super your still awesome! Just add some more directions to help the player out along with some other qol fixes, revamp the textures and you got yourself an HD remake.
