Watch getting bits of paper / plastic in your seed hopper , as it will block up the seed ports . Easy to make that mistake when you are in a hurry , and , you may not realize it until half your field isn't germinating because it never got seeded . Also , if the seed is clumped up , it can cause the same problems . Most farmers learn this pretty quick , but , newbs and green field hands might not know . Another issue can be mud dauber wasps building nests in the seed bin and tubes , which will also cause you fits . Just throwing this out there for anyone that is looking to start using a seeder and doesn't have much or any experience running them .

Spider web will do same thing in the tube. I had to clean the web out because when I was walking beside the tractor testing it, no seed was coming out of one of the drops. It's not the easiest thing to get to the underside of that tube either. When I'm done planting for season, I'm going to stuff a shop rag in each tube from bottom to help prevent that.

It will interesting to see the results versus last year’s growth.

I've seen these do the job on grass and other crops. It is a cool machine. Nice.

I have had my Firminator for about 9 years now, I took it to the hunt club and it was wetter than I like to work and plant. The shank got all gummed up like it did on you and I took it off and never put it back on. It works as good without it as it does with it. I tried to plant corn with mine and have had no success with it. But everything else I plant I love it. I do a lot of one pass planting with small seeds and with beans I do two pass planting. Show a video of you adjusting the tightness of the gangs. Thanks Cotton

If you get a oil dipstick from newer models that are like a cable. Those work good to send up a seed tube or down a seed tube to clear it at the beginning of each year.

Really enjoyed the content - I like that implement. We have the post oak mud where I am at- with those discs not having scrapers I’m afraid they would get clogged up

There is scrapers between every disc blade.

I’ve been waiting on this video from you and get your thoughts on it. I really like the firminator and hope to get one someday. As for now I’ll use my LMC spreader
