So glad I found your channel

Was turned onto BB after stumbling upon their sausages in a local Beuhlers grocery. Very good stuff. I googled and found just enough to pique my interest in the Bearded Butchers/Whitefeather Meats. By chance, a couple weeks later I was driving north to Cleveland, and recognized the Whitefeather Meats sign along SR 3. I definitely had to stop in on my way back home that afternoon. I stopped in and was greeted by a nice young lady behind the counter. I started browsing the freezer cases. So much stuff! I was kind of overwhelmed at first. So many different cuts and preparations of pork, chicken, lamb, bison, beef, an I’m sure even more. After a minute or two, I met Scott (the Beard in this video), and he was a pro. Honestly, I was just hoping for a couple nice thick ribeyes. He found a couple nice ones in the case for me, but I wasn’t done shopping. As he guided me through the different sections of the freezers, he described the cuts, seasonings and preparations in fine detail, and clearly explained/answered any of my questions. Halfway through, he got a basket for me so I wouldn’t freeze my fingers (and had room for more stuff-pro move). I finished 6oz of bison jerky on the way home. I’ll let you know how the ribeye turned out!

I'm guessing that it would be too gruesome to show the actual killing of the animal, but I've always been very curious of how it is done. There was a Modern Marvels episode that kind of showed it. I noticed the rifle on the wall in this video and imagine that is the method. We're all so sheltered about where our food comes from so I think these videos are great! I'm a meat-eater but like to know that the animals I eat lived well up to the day they were harvested.

So all your meat is frozen after packaging? You cant buy it fresh in a case?
