Plant Dupes! | Philodendron Spiritus Sancti
Ойын-сауық
Thanks for watching! I thought about adding rough prices for these plants online, but honestly there isn't much point as prices can fluctuate so much - any prices I list can become inaccurate really quickly.

Would love to see a series! Another video that would be cool that’s similar is doing like a plant highlight. Taking a plant that doesn’t get that much press and I guess raising awareness for it and talking about it, I think that would be cool and you would be awesome at executing it 😬
This video is amazing! Original concept, good execution, thorough research, great editing, hats off to you Kaylee!
This is just what I needed! Please make a series about it. Btw only Kaylee Ellen could've come up with something like this, in my opinion really creative. Update: if this is going to become a series just like the rare plant index, then these are horrible for my wallet 😅
The biggest thing that draws me to your channel is the amount of research you do. I watch plenty of plant channels that I love, but you are really the only one that puts in the extra amount of work to give us this kind of information. Thank you 🙌🏻

Thank you. That's why I do this 🥰
How creative are you??😂 i love the idea of this video!❤️
A petition for Kaylee to make this into series like #RarePlantIndex. So excellent. Thanks for your brilliant sharing, lady! Cannot wait for another plants.
Another vote for a series! Some of my favourite plants are "you drool over this, have a look at that!" plants. Plants that look similar to the "drools" but are cheaper, or easier, or hardier, or... whatever.
Would love a series! Also loved the part about the history of it and the kind of mythbusting 😂
Maybe in 5 years it will cost USD 20, so I will wait 😅

Maybe in five years, we'll all stop the aggressive daily destruction of habitat for plants and wildlife? Probly not.

Alex What does this have anything to do with the comment? It just stated that in 5 years it might have been grown more so it’s cheaper🙄

@@alex0589 I assume that we all have enough knowledge that she got the plant from a reputable growers that does not get it from plundering nature.
more of this series please!! :-)
This would be a great series!
OMG! I was browsing plant web shops and I thought: would be so cool to see a dupe video on expensive philodendrons... and bam! Thank you Kaylee! 💋from 🇫🇷

The philodendron longilobatum - instant wishlist plant I love how quirky it is Great video idea, I'd be down for more like this!

This idea is brilliant and I would thoroughly enjoy a series! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I really appreciate all that you put into this video. The information and all the pictures. Thank you!
please turn this into a series!! brilliant work kaylee!
Of course we want a series!!! This is such creative content, you’ve always been next level with your content 👌❤️ and I almost bought a Jerry Horne, I waited and then it was gone 😭😭😭 I’ll never forgive myself 😂
i love it! i've been waiting for someone to do dupes! its such a great idea! thanks for keeping up with our interests and making new types of content :) i appreciate the break up your channel provides from the constant shopping and house tours of the other houseplant channels...no tea no shade 😂😂
It's like you can read my mind! I've been debating on doing a post about this subject on other plants, and couldn't really find good info. Dang girl, you good! Definitely love this subject/idea!
Of course, we want a series, you don't have to ask. You are the queen
This was such a great idea for a video! Would definitely love to see more 🥰💚🌿
I live in São Paulo, it's relatively close to Espírito Santo. And around here, depending on the size of the plant, you can find some seedlings at very affordable prices. And when you see the plant in nature it’s really a splendid plant💚
Absolutely awesome, superb ideas, make these kind of dupe series for other popular plants too.
Your new content is so unique 😍 love it!!!
I loved this! You should definitely continue these series!
Love this idea! Do many many more please! So many plants I didn't know about and need now!!!
I haven't even watched this video yet but as an enthusiastic miser I'm always excited about beautiful things that cost less ;) I heartily request more dupes videos!!
Great video Kaylee! I wouldn't mind a little series on plant dupes😊 Thank you so much for sharing! You have such a great collection!🌸🐞
I really enjoyed this and figuring alternatives to wishlist plants is genius. Stay healthy and safe Kaylee😘👍❤
Love this! Would love to see a series on plant dupes such a great idea!
I loved this! Would love to see this as a series!
I don't know why Spiritus Sancti resonates so deeply with me...maybe its fragile status in the wild? However it is way outside my budget. Thanks for giving me some ideas for a plant I could aspire to get in the not so distant future. Love the content and would love to see what you could do with making it a series. Keep up the good work & happy growing!
Very cool video Kaylee! Would love to see more dupe videos in the future! 🤩💕
That anthurium! 😍💚 now on the wish list! Would love to see this as a series :) hope you're feeling better x
Be carefull in this crazy world Kaylee, I wish you the best of luck. Amazing video like always ❤️❤️
I liked u highlighting Brian! That’s was super interesting!!
This would definitely be an interesting series! I was really interested in the hybridization talk at the end
Such a great vid and idea. Love it, thank you!!
Kaylee, could you do a video about how to go about getting some of these hard to find plants without contributing to their extinction via smuggling? Tell people how you go about it, what to look for, and how to make sure you are dealing with a legit nursery. Thanks.

Hi Kaylee thank you for being so informative on your plants, but I would like some info on where you get your plants. I'm just getting started on house plants Again I stopped having house plants and started with only out side annuals and perennials. Now since this virus the stores have there plants But there all dead. Water logged and in terrible conditions. So I started buying house plants that I have never seen before. And the prices are just Unfair for the consumer to enjoy these Beautiful plants. Linda Holder

@@lindaholder2222 As a person now deep into plants, please do not purchase expensive plants until you are very experienced. You will be throwing your money away. The rare plants can be delicate and need special care. Any plant you want you need to read about it's care in detail so you know what you are getting into. Find out how easy/hard their needs are or again, you will be frustrated and waste your money. No one should be buying rare plants direct from third world countries unless the seller can prove that they do not participate in plant smuggling. This evil is very real and can cause the extinction of species. Asia is a hot spot for such smuggling.
You keep making me add more plants to my wishlist😭😂🙌🏼 great video Kaylee😘
This is marvelous. Good idea. Good execution.
Love you motion graphics, very clean
Love this! More of these please!
I live 45 minutes away from Brians nursery! he's an amazing grower!! I love seeing one of my favorite plant you tubers doing a video on someone I live so close to! also Id love to see a continuation on this as a series!!
Def make this a series! Great idea!
Love this concept!! Would appreciate a full series 🤗🧡
Full on series! Yes yes yes! I love love unique plants that you don’t see everyday, but I’m also just a barista with a barista budget. Gimme allll the dupes ✌🏽
Definitely do a dupe series!! love it! thanks for another great video!
Yes please make a full series on this topic!
I’d LOVE more dupe videos. This was great!
This would be an awesome series. Well Done 👍.
This such a great idea to offer alternatives to rare and expensive plants. As I learned a lot by watching this video I look forward to other videos on the subject of dupes.
Yes. Yes. Yes. This was an amazing idea. I really enjoyed this. 👏👏👏👏❤❤❤
I just love this concept! 😍

Thank you for a very interesting video. As is the norm from watching your videos, my wish list grows longer...
Love this! Hope you make it a series 💯
awesome video! you make me want plants I didn't know I needed but now I will definitely keep my eye out for them 😂
OHHH These are all gorgeous. Personally I am in love with my lowly philodendron Jungle Boogie. Also long leaf but with ripples and no darling ears. They are growing like crazy since I bought them a month ago. Three and four new leaves on each of the two I bought. Thanks Kaylee. I so enjoy all of your videos.
Great idea! definitely need a series
A very cool idea to make a video with dupe plants 👍👍👍 I like

I love the idea of finding dupes for a plant!
I love this concept for videos!!!
beautiful plants ❤❤❤
I love your brain!!! Thank you, thank you 🙏😘
I would love this as a series!! Not quite a dupe but I would love to see a video about your favorite variegated plants that are more affordable for those of us who will most likely never be able to afford an monstera albo borsigiana.

Good idea I would like to see this as a series.
Love the Dupe video, please make it a series!
If i ever see a real spiritus Sancti irl Id sing lilium to it
Loooove your editting!
On a Kaylee Ellen streak to survive this quarantine! Thank you Kaylee!!
I don’t get it 🤷🏻♀️ this sancti plant has enough dupes and isn’t really any cooler looking than the less expensive plants. I wonder why it is so sought after 🤔

Yes! Me too, I just don't get it. In my eyes it's so ordinary and not special at all, and the price? Jesus, for what? Now that Thaumatophyllum Stenolobum narrow is breathtaking, I'd buy it any time over that spiritus.
@yuliacherednikov9903
4 жыл бұрын
I would also be curious to learn a bit more about its origins. Is it sought-after simply because it is rare? Maybe all this demand will lead to it eventually becoming easier to find as growers kick into production.

Some people are collectors rather than just "house plant people." I think it's philodendron collectors that want to get their hands on a rare plant simply to know that they own such a rare specimen. I absolutely love plants with long, narrow leaves, but long leaf anthuriums are far more impressive imo.
@SilverSky333

Thank you for saying it... there are so many cool philodendrons and spiritus sancti just seems so boring and plain in comparison. It's definitely for collectors only.

Yesss please make this a series!!
Please make it a series!! I enjoyed this video a lot
I would love to see this turn into a series.
I love this and yes would be great if you made more of these vids.
Love this video - super interesting!!!
Watching this in 2023 is so interesting because the spiritus sancti is just rare now, you can literally get it for 250/300€ at a shop or eBay, Etsy even less
Yes, please make a series!
Would love a series of this!!!
Great information 👍 Appreciate it ❤
I love this video! I have actually been looking for the thaumatophyllum stenolobum to scratch the spiritus itch!
I would love to see more of these and dish the dirt!
Yes! More! Love it!
Yeeees full on series pleeeeaaase 😍👌🏻
Wow Brian is a legend
I love this idea! 💗
Yes!!!! We need a series for dupes!!!!
Cool video, Kaylee!
Yes I love this! And I would love to see it broken up into plants within the same family, and similar looking plants in other families - if I'm sticking within the same family personally, it's because something about the care of them works for me, so having options of the same type and different types that appear similar is awesome!! (An example - I just can't do calethea. Humidity is way too low here. Some agloanemas look kinda calathea-like, so I get those instead to fulfill that niche in my collection)
Fantastic video idea!
I like the Anthurium 😍👍🏼 beautiful long leaves !
Yaaaasssss make a series out of this!!!
Series! Series! Series! Please and thank you :)
