Planning Literacy Centers in 3-5 with the Daily 5

In this video, I will share some of my favorite center activities for upper elementary students. These activities are aligned with the Daily 5 framework, which provides a structure for students to work independently on a variety of literacy activities, while the teacher provides small-group or one-on-one instruction.
The center activities that I will share include:
Read to Self: Students read independently for 20 minutes.
Work on Writing: Students work on their own writing for 20 minutes.
Read to Someone: Students read to a partner, adult, or small group for 20 minutes. Listen to Reading: Students listen to someone read aloud for 20 minutes. Word Work: Students work on word study skills for 20 minutes.
I will provide a brief overview of each activity, as well as some tips for implementation. I will also share some examples of materials that you can use for each activity. If you are looking for some new and engaging center activities for your early elementary students, I encourage you to watch this video. I hope you find these activities helpful!
