Briefly met him @ windowsill ledges back in August 2001, he was there with Jereme and Alexis Sablone. I was actually star struck and felt like an idiot, so he broke the ice and asked me if I needed some wax, super nice dude. That was the best summer of my life, stated with me and my friend skating Washington DC, filming lines at Pulaski. That week in August-September 2001 was the best. We were skating old school 'Waterfront' aka Columbus Park. Eli Reed gave me props for having a Vehicle board. Jereme was psyched because we fixed the propped up ledge @ waterfront and he ended up filming a few tricks in Wonderful Horrible Life because of us. Jereme was chill too back then. We ended up in Dave "Happy"Armsden's apartment, rider and shop clerk for Coliseum, super chill guy. We smoked bubble gum weed out of the biggest bong I've ever seen, never been so high lol. Fuck those times were great. It feels fleet because literally 1-2 weeks later 911 happened and the world changed for the worse so the it's memories of a more innocent bygone era. I'll cherish those memories forever. Even got to skate with Donny Barley once. Wish I had stayed off the drugs and skated 2wice as much. I' m 37 now and the world is so depressing. RIP to the pre-911 era.

sw fs flip is actually not that much harder than a sw flip where you have to keep it switch all the way
Briefly met him @ windowsill ledges back in August 2001, he was there with Jereme and Alexis Sablone.

@@skateboston420 I was only 6 when 9/11 happened but I remember everyone being so much less depressed and a much warmer vibe in the world before then. Could also be that I was a little kid, but my brother's your age and I remember him skateboarding with his friends in the late 90s/early 2000s and watching skate videos and smoking hella cigarettes being carefree AF and you just don't see teens like that very often any more. 9/11 and the internet fucked everything.
Still the best 3 flips I've seen

That same unnatural spin/motion is repeated a lot in Mark Suciu's trick selection...
I skated Berrics with PJ 10 years back. Such a sick memory. He put a complete together for me in the parking lot and would’ve given me some #s but they were too small… anyway, he shredded Berrics, it was just us 2, and he literally went a solid 13 minutes straight without missing a trick… hitting every obstacle in the place. Such a solid dude. Thx PJ, much respect. Tim P
I watched this a loong time ago. Probably more than 10 years ago on my fat computer. Time flies.
that very first tre flip is absolute perfection. so casual and stylish
Good stuff!!! I can't believe it's almost 20 years old.
this part leaves me speechless everytime...no speech
Used to watch this back in the day to get pumped up for skating! Love the no music just so satisfying! Lol
Remember watching RS for the first time and thinking who the heck is PJ Ladd but being one of my favorite parts of the whole film. So clean, precise tricks, way ahead of the game
His switch is so good I can barely tell if its switch or regular

For real. That switch heel he does in that line looks better than any regular heelflip I can ever recall landing 🤦♂️
this part made me fall in love with es shoes!
I love how you can hear the board flipping at 0:55 that is just the best w/ headphones
It was so genius to cut the music. I don't think that had ever been done. The skating speaks for itself, and sound of roll-pop-bearings-land-roll is my favorite song anyways.
I don't think I have ever seen another skater with the balance that he has. He always looks like he is in complete control while doing crazy lines. One of the 🐐 s for aure.
Show casing the eS Accel collection nicely.
One of the best short skate videos I've seen in a long ass time!

Nineclub experience brought me here. Thanks Steezus! Gonna try and sleep to this.
I used to watch this part religiously. I used to put on different songs to it too.
One of the best sections ever
Damn this upload is almost 15 years old and "Really Sorry" came out in 03!! Making me feel old af. Such a classic vid
CLEAN!
The goof around stuff in his Wonderful Horrible Life part is fun and humanizing, but this part is just banger after banger, like a terminator. Every clip hits hard.
Always a favourite skater with best style
Crazy to watch now. So fucking heavy when this dropped. So much love. Watched on repeat…. Now days there’s 3 clips I would keep for an actual part. Some wouldn’t make Insta
I still remember the feeling I had watching this part 💥💥💥
Timeless as it can be
Legendary.
Well it’s 2024. A lot of phenomenal skating has gone down. But this part….. this part is something special. Enjoy!
beautiful
i freakin love his hardflips BEAST MODE!!!!!!!!
love da noise of da board poppin den landing so sweet lol
The silence gave this part such gravity when I was a kid, made it serious like, “hey, shut up and pay attention to this.”
Switch flip at end still hit me everytime
The Hardflip over the Albertsons dock 👌🏻
fakie sw fs crook.. no push... switch flip sw front tail 270. in 2003. pj and prod we're the first ones to master switch

SICK!
If you close your eyes and listen you hear music throughout the video. And it sounds awesome.
The beginning of the demise of PJs skate parts. He never topped wonderful horrible life but how could you top greatest part of all time.

No music just the sound of bangers
There's just something different about these old clips. ♥
haha this is still a gnarly part! crazy
The noise as he rides over the grid after the switch heel 1:05 👌
I met him at Subliminal Skatepark yesterday! :D
Thank you for putting the original part with no music, like it was meant to be viewed! I hate that everyone puts music on it and calls it a "re-edit" fuck that shit
two door cinema what you know perfect song fits so well play the song when pj lands the tre in the beginning and the go to the part of the song when the beats kick in the beginning so perfect enjoy niqqas
david bowie - changes perfect song to play with this vid
love the cameras they film with this.
I forgot why this guy is a legend smoother than butter

This guy invented style
the good thing about there not being any music is that you can really hear the smack of the board on his shoes when he catches the trick mid air
2021
i love playing music to this
Master Switch Stance!
the music that goes with this doesnt matter. why does anyone want to even re-edit this? its perfect the way it is.

This was pj Ladd in his prime. Still crazy

I feel like the 00's standard isn't being lived up to right now. Pro's need to get over FS crooks and feebles.
