Remember watching RS for the first time and thinking who the heck is PJ Ladd but being one of my favorite parts of the whole film. So clean, precise tricks, way ahead of the game

I skated Berrics with PJ 10 years back. Such a sick memory. He put a complete together for me in the parking lot and would’ve given me some #s but they were too small… anyway, he shredded Berrics, it was just us 2, and he literally went a solid 13 minutes straight without missing a trick… hitting every obstacle in the place. Such a solid dude. Thx PJ, much respect. Tim P

Pj Ladd was the reason i practised tirelessly to get FS flips down pat. His ability to effortlessly blast tricks in any stance is a beautiful thing.

Yeah, gotta agree with a first comment, definitely a kiss, not a grind - but still solidly done with a nice tasty kickflip. But when those are the rails you’re working with - that’s 100% the way that terrain should be treated haha 😂 👏 👏 Hey you got my sub 🤷🏻‍♂️ lol

The goof around stuff in his Wonderful Horrible Life part is fun and humanizing, but this part is just banger after banger, like a terminator. Every clip hits hard.

14 years ago, still rivals a lot of pro parts today. Dude was ahead of his time. I remember I used to practice editing to this video since it didn’t have sound so I would put my own songs over it and try to get everything to land on beat. Wild seeing these clips again

Met him once at Italiano's pizza next to Burbank middle school. He was getting a slice and he was very kind, no asshole energy whatsoever. Dude just loved to skate, it was clear.

I don't think I have ever seen another skater with the balance that he has. He always looks like he is in complete control while doing crazy lines. One of the 🐐 s for aure.

Briefly met him @ windowsill ledges back in August 2001, he was there with Jereme and Alexis Sablone. I was actually star struck and felt like an idiot, so he broke the ice and asked me if I needed some wax, super nice dude. That was the best summer of my life, stated with me and my friend skating Washington DC, filming lines at Pulaski. That week in August-September 2001 was the best. We were skating old school 'Waterfront' aka Columbus Park. Eli Reed gave me props for having a Vehicle board. Jereme was psyched because we fixed the propped up ledge @ waterfront and he ended up filming a few tricks in Wonderful Horrible Life because of us. Jereme was chill too back then. We ended up in Dave "Happy"Armsden's apartment, rider and shop clerk for Coliseum, super chill guy. We smoked bubble gum weed out of the biggest bong I've ever seen, never been so high lol. Fuck those times were great. It feels fleet because literally 1-2 weeks later 911 happened and the world changed for the worse so the it's memories of a more innocent bygone era. I'll cherish those memories forever. Even got to skate with Donny Barley once. Wish I had stayed off the drugs and skated 2wice as much. I' m 37 now and the world is so depressing. RIP to the pre-911 era.

@@skateboston420 I was only 6 when 9/11 happened but I remember everyone being so much less depressed and a much warmer vibe in the world before then. Could also be that I was a little kid, but my brother's your age and I remember him skateboarding with his friends in the late 90s/early 2000s and watching skate videos and smoking hella cigarettes being carefree AF and you just don't see teens like that very often any more. 9/11 and the internet fucked everything.
