I mean, in this case, it wasn't hard to win, given what the other guy did, which was an abomination and a total departure from what people would want out of a NYC dollar slice and what anyone outside of Chicago would even call pizza. I feel like an 8 year old making pizza bagels could've won. :D

I got to spend a week in NYC last month and in just that one week, among many other things--I ate literally 20 slices of pizza. Let's just say I didn't go to the tower or the statue, I'm all about that food scene. I live in Seoul and there is some pretty good pizza to be found of just about every style in the world but, ain't none of it $1/slice.

This episode truly hit home for me. I'm always using pizza to survive when I'm low on funds and you GOTTA be hand shredding that cheese ain't 2 ways about it lol.

Came up random & this is super excellent on so many levels, starting with 1) the concept of the $1 slice being kept alive, 2) the nostalgia of NYC years past & 3) totally going with the shoot grey drizzle day do what you have to make it happen

I make a lot of pie (pizza) at home and find many good ideas here, keep it up. Tip: If you want to make affordable pie at home, buy your ingredients at a restaurant supply store that is open to the public. Example; The bread flower Nicole uses can be found at your local store for around $10.00 for 5 lbs, at a restaurant supply chain the same quality bread flour can be found for $15.00 for 25 lbs. You should buy storage containers with burpable lids too while you're there.

would recommend vacuum plunger lids. keeps air and moisture out. very handy if you live in a high humidity area. never know restaurant supply stores were open to the public. thanks, i'm going to see what i can find.

Herbs are very cheap. A sprinkle of oregano, basil and garlic could elevate a cheap pizza

Stanislaus! Ive battled with owners to avoid the cheap watery stuff and had to prove that pound for pound and dollars spent that it’s a good way to go. (West coast) Some types even have to be watered down for consistency. So.. it ends up being cheaper to buy the more expensive product.

They call that big slice the dad slice. For the record!

You can tell Raekwon is dope just from the way he eats.

A dollar slice shouldn't cost more than about 33 cents to make, as the dollar shop needs to cover overhead like staff, rent, utilities and maintenance etc.

I always look forward to this show!

Dollar slices are trash and the reason that NYC has lost its #1 pizza crown to other states. Some say even bad pizza is good, but I add to that, Im not saying its pizza I wouldnt eat, but its pizza I wouldnt pay for.

i feel like i've been waiting for someone else to talk critically about this show. i don't understand the point of it and why is she the host and a competitor. it just doesn't make sense to me.

Something to watch when it's snowing an your bored , would i make either pizza no , i make pizza don't buy it so it's what i like to eat , would i suggest others to make pizza like this not unless you think that's good pizza , if your bored something fun to watch , if you want to make pizza then make it and make it the way you like , not rocket science anyone can , most ovens go to 550 , that cooks pizza in about 10/12 minutes you don't need any other oven . the rest learn it .
