I'm upgrading to a Pixel 8 Pro from a Motorola G82. But the thing I like about the Motorola that I'm losing are: 3.5 mm headphone jack and the SD card slot (which can go as high as 1TB!). But the Motorola will probably only be supported with security updates until next year, no more OS updates and the cameras are pretty bad.

  • @tech_teoyt

Nice! MAN you're gonna love the upgrade! I've tried the Motorola phones both cheap and expensive. Honestly with everything especially the very poor camera quality and unrefined os, they feel like a fake version of a pixel. And the step from sd 695 to tensor g3 is going to make ur experience so much better. But ya no 1tb expansion that's obviously annoying especially bc the only reason is simple upselling. But get ur google cloud going or buy a USB c usb stick for storage. And in regards to missing headphones jack, I mean the world has fully moved on. It's ancient tech haha, get used to wireless cuz it's the only future imo (also who wouldn't prefer it? Price?) thanks a ton for watching!🔥

Gotten so much better past half year: especially the battery, no heating - lag- or any other problems. Camera the best. Waiting for the next 9 pro. Hopefully the rumours about a smaller 9 pro are true. The big size is my only complaint. 6.1 would be great. Thx again , greethings from Holland ✌️

I am a Pixel guy thick and thin. It's good to stand out in the crowd. Google has to work on refinement. I held an iphone 15 pro max and i was in awe, refinement at it's finest. Hopefully the CAD renders are accurate of the upcoming 9pro. There is just something about a modular design. Hopefully Google will put some effort into the feminine smartwatch they have. Resting on their laurels!!

I was surprised that you actually are one of the few reviewers who talk about haptics and yet didn't mention my biggest gripe with this phone's physical (rather than digital) haptics: Tapping on the screen just feels like ass. Because there is a tiny bit of space right behind the screen, it makes this hollow sound that makes the entire screen feel like it's made of cheap plastic. I've only ever used low to midrange phones and they all have a satisfying glass-like feeling when tapping the screen, like you're actually handling a solid chunk of glass. When I tap the Pixel 8 Pro's screen (for example while typing), it feels like I'm touching a resistive touchscreen like from an old car GPS or the Nintendo DS' touchscreen. Really cheapens the experience of handling this phone. Maybe this has been the norm for Pixels for many generations? I don't know. Just tried it with my ancient Google Nexus 5 and even that feels more premium.

Hmm quite an interesting view. I actually just tried to see what you mean and i do think i know what you mean by the feel of the keyboard. If you imagine a cheap plastic gps display when you type, it can almost feel a little like that. HOWEVER i personally love the haptics. I like how the typing gives such a hard punch to my thumbs, makes it feel a bit like physical keys imo. Some of it might be getting used to it. And yes this is a pixel thing, but again a thing most pixels lovers love. But ya interesting and sad it doesnt suite you. You can actually tune down the intensity in settings if you want or turn it off, maybe that'll help✌️😎 thanks for watching 🔥

@@tech_teoytThank you for replying! I never use the vibration feedback (like the short vibrations when typing) on my smartphones as I find it distracting and I get paranoid about the additional battery usage. So yeah, that didn't help my issue with the screen feeling cheap to touch since I hadn't even used the haptic feedback feature up until just now to try it out. Guess I'll get used to it over time. It's just odd that no one mentioned this in any of the reviews I've seen.

It's my first pixel and 1000€+ phone so I just hope this gets fixed or if it's normal that it doesn't affect my experience too much. Are you that opposed to the new S24ultra design or is it more the bloatware? Can you technically use all google apps on the S24ultra and either delete or hide the apps on the phone if you really like the design of the phone. Do you use the call screening on your pixel phone. Lastly, how has your experience been with face unlock and the fingerprint reader? Thanks again.

So that killed it for me. You CAN try to use only google apps on samsung, but its messy and annoying and just feels too cumbersome. I really dont like doing that. I appreciate what you are attempting to do. There most definitely needs to be more objective reviewers out ther. That said reviewing your daily driver, and one you have been a fan of for a few generations now. I personally feel that, that undermines your objectivity, more then a little. Also suggesting Apple everytime, after confirming that a peson watching this video is looking for an android. Well that just doesn't make sense. There honestly should have been an android suggestion in there rather then immediately going to Apple. However Apple is significantly better for things like tiktok, because video and graphics editing is what Apple built ita name on. It was a good attempt but i wouldn't exactly call it brutally honest.

I could definitely endure it, ive been using an s10+ since it launched in 2019 so anything recent is a sizeable upgrade from what im used to. However if im spending a lot of money on a very recent flagship i expect it to not lag while scrolling in the google play store. I asked around on reddit and a lot of people were extremely disappointed and had regrets for buying it. That is the only reason i went for an s23 instead. Its snappy, smooth and without random hitches while scrolling like that. And if im gonna be stuck with it for another 4 years i want the performance to be as smooth as possible.

There are no cutting corners with speakers, most brand flagships use very similar speakers, when it comes to technology and speaker size, the main difference is balance and tuning of the speakers, and it is nothing new that Google tend to tune their speakers for speech and voice, with very neutral tuning, which is not the most exicting for music or media, especially when nowadays everyone is so used to boosted lower frequencies, and have opinion of "more bass = better sound or quality". With that said, with Wavelet EQ speakers sound pretty good on P8 Pro, and very similar to my other phone iPhone 14 Pro with is also EQ'ed. Yet I do not care much for phones speakers, as they all are just okay for what it is, just a phone speaker.

So if you wnt for samsung you have to be prepared to have it feel quite different from oneplus and pixel in terms of software. I personally dont like it, i think its cluttered and ugly, but to each their own. if the pixel 8 pro is the excact same hardware even if bought in usa and can work properly in india, then ill def say go with that. I dont think you will regret it. I would wait for the 9 series but they will be more expensive so that's that. Pixel 8 pro is a crazy nice phone. Hope u find the best fit for you and thx a ton for watching

Why is the Pro a Pro if it can't handle the AI being implemented and both have the T3 chip, you're just extra stuff with the camera but nothing significant as far the T3 chip should do

Yup. I had the 4 XL. Loved it! But then got 6, which was a terrible experience, and I gave up on Pixel until they fixed the software. Now it's amazing again thankfully. Thanks for watching🔥🙏
