Is the video stabilisation at 1080p available on the selfie camera on the A54? Did you film the videos with the rear or the selfie camera?

thanks for the comparison! just giving you a feedback of random viewer :) for me this style of review was a bit messy, as it always jumps from one topic to another, back and forth from the video to photos or vice versa. i believe for typical viewer is better to structure your reviews by topics to discuss, so if i'm interested in main sensor comparisons - i would just check all the photo or video samples in one section of the video, instead of scrolling it and trying to find all the captures! Some like the unpredictable nature of reviews. Not a single video looks the same. So you always watch these videos knowing there's something new or shuffled. In the end, everything will come together beautifully. I offer detailed and fun ways of reviewing smartphones. But sure, I will consider this. Remind you, you are not the only viewer. A request for a new video: Pixel 6A vs Galaxy A54 after the latest updates I watched your video from five months ago where you compared the cameras of the Pixel 6A and the Galaxy A54. I really enjoyed it and learned a lot from it. However, I wonder how these two phones compare now, after they have received some updates that improved their performance. For example, I saw another video that showed that the Galaxy A54 improved its video stabilization at 4K resolution. I would love to see a new video (part 2) from you where you test these updates and see how they changed the camera quality of these two devices. This is especially interesting because Google promises to support the Pixel 6A for five years, while Samsung promises to support the Galaxy A54 for five years. How will these updates affect the difference between the video and photo capabilities of these phones? Please consider making a new video on this topic. Thank you!

I'm torn between these two as a gift to my mom but the pixel 6a is way cheaper than a54 here in the philippines. It only cost 15k for pixel 6a and A54 cost 24k.

"Ultimate camera shootout" but in the videos comparison only tested the 4k 30fps of both phones WHILE using a selflie stick which affects the real world usage of testing the video stability of both phones. Missed that big detail right there since I heard the Samsung Galaxy A54's video stability is a bit better at 1080 60fps and 30fps. Didn't get a chance to see that.

*Pixel 6a performs like a flagship in most areas. Galaxy A54 is a typical mid-ranger.* Low-light videos are better but people rarely ever shoot in such low-light situations. Anyways, great review. I like how you keep your background and subjects consistent in all videos making it easier to differentiate. Cheers 🥂

But google pixel didn't sell their phone on a lot of country. For example, most of SEA country doesn't have google official store, if we want to bought those, we need to do international shipping, the tax and shipping can increased it price from like $450 to $550 - $600.

​@@frankreynolds9930Pixel 6a is using flagship chipset whereas Samsung using exynos and it is significantly slower. You can see the huge gap difference in benchmark score between the two. Sure a54 have its pros but I don't see how it's better in most things 🤷

Hey. Yes exactly I hardly ever shoot in the dark but everyone is concentrating on low light pictures but not sunsets and sunsets is one of the criteria that is important to me but in the dark I really don't care 😆🙈

Which phone do you recommend if I am coming from the Huawei p20, love it's saturated colours but Samsung phones seem too bright and extreme to me and if I am mainly shooting landscape and sunsets?

oh yeah, pixel 7, s23 (actually I may start reviewing this after my pixel 7a battery test), and iPhone 14. I though you were just looking for a budget friendly smartphone and so I stick to that idea. You know what even last year's S22 Plus is also a great deal!

The problem is I actually don't want apple but from all my criteria it seems the best, Samsung is often too bright with pictures and the colours not in the way that my huawei p20 does and the pixel 7 is not good in battery and some say the lenses break 😕 So I don't know what to do. The ultras are too big, and the xiaomi 13 is not saturated enough. 🙈

I checked them out on Best Buy. The A54 is great but that screen is so dim compared to the 6A.

For me pixel 6a camera is better in most cases

probably the lens of pixel 6A was dirty in that nightmode pict..that's why the flare is like that...coz I have pixel 5...with clear lens...my pixel 5 has better nightmode pict eapecially in handling flares

hi mus, the flaring is consistent with all pixel 6a test I have. I did a lot of camera test of this phone and I'm aware of the pros and cons already. the lens was clean.

So who won ? Pixel 6a or Galaxy A54?

Samsung wont keep your hands warm in winter but Pixel will.

6a is in Germany under 300eur. On the island called Helgoland, I bought mine for 277 eur. Brand new phone. And I am thrilled with it! 😊 I think for that price there is no better phone than this one. Amazing camera set, amazing chipset , good battery, nice screen, feels like flagship phone , compact { Number one reason I bought it}, and the fingerprint sensor works just fine (People exaggerate the crap about fingerprint Senor).

You have made so many videos on 6a,never did you mention that it has terrible video performance considering it's a flagship! You literally can't shoot @ 60fps unless it's too bright, else you'll get useless grainy video. Next thing is,even if 6a has good stabilisers,they tend to crop the video and the quality gets hugely affected.And of course without the stabilise,it's useless.

6a may have the flagship chipset but not the hardware, go for the 6 pro instead.

As long as it's an all day battery phone the charging speed isn't too important in my opinion.

Hmmm, real life or numbers bro? I mean for the screen, A54 is brighter and has 120hz refresh rate but both of them are LED screens. Battery life definitely A54. But if you will spend more money upgrading to A54, if you already have 6a ahhhhh... Save the money for Pixel 7a? It might be worth it. But A54 will be nice though, camera wise, although there's more ups on A54, Pixel 6a gets the most important categories.

@@GadgetRevNow Upgrading to A54? No way. I'm in love with stock Androids. I hate the bloated custom skins Samsung and other OEM offer (though, you can get rid of them). Sadly very few manufacturers offer pure Android experience. Like moto (but they are very poor in camera department)

I got rid of the 6a and got the a54, been using it for about a month now. I'm in love with the screen on the a54, compared to the dark and dull OLED on the 6a. the 6a screen was a downgrade from the 5a and I really didnt like using it for any video viewing. the performance on the 6a was amazing though, however it had terrible heat management and crappy battery.

@@stevenhuang9207 I love the natural colours on 6A display than highly saturated colours on other displays. haven't experienced any heating issues till now. Battery is getting better by each day. Don't know how

Like I said yesterday 24 April, the Galaxy has better edge detection, but you gave it to Pixel.

Did you regret it? My main concern is that the cameras are not as good. Battery life is important indeed but I like shooting pictures as well

@@andrexskin I did regret it. The A54 camera is good, but struggles in low light. Sadly, in order to get a phone with excellent battery life AND a great camera, you'll have to look into the high end segment. I ended up with the Xperia 1V which is perfect for my needs.

@@GadgetRevNow It's its design... it looks old, like a 2013 chinese phone, it's not minimalistic, and that metal stripe around the camera, it looks so unnecesary. Anyway, I find it ugly, not pleasant to have in my hands like an iphone, or a S23.
