I've had the 6a since last year and it did a lot of things right. Great camera, powerful processor, small build with a plastic body (Far more durable than glass), and the software is fantastic. However I went with the A54 as it had the bigger battery, SD card slot, brighter display (Which was a must for Pokémon Go), didn't get as warm as the 6a would, and the software update is slightly longer. (Not the fault of the 6a as it's a year old) I do miss some features of the 6a like different schedules/settings for Do Not Disturb and the easier to use call screening. (Which is in Samsung under Bixby voice, and is more customizable)

*Pixel 6a is better in most areas* like performance, cameras, speakers, haptics etc. The glass-back on the Galaxy A54 is less practical considering the frame is plastic. Aluminium frame on the pixel 6a makes it more durable and neither have wireless charging like the the Pixel 7a. Even in display, *Pixel 6a uses the same rigid oled samsung panel of the Pixel 7.* So even though it's 60Hz, it's equally bright as the A54 and infact has better and more neutral colour calibration. Although the many enjoy the poppy colours of Samsung. So yeah, battery-life and extra updates are the only pros of Galaxy A54. The upcoming Pixel 7a widens the gap quite a bit. Cheers 🥂

In no way are they equally bright if you see them in person. NO WAY. Also your glass to frame materials argument makes no sense whatsoever.

The camera isn't better. They are about equal. And on video A54 slaps the pixel 6a. Speakers are better on the A54 as well.

@@apothecy4011 I have both of them. Apart from low-light videos, pixel 6a is ahead. But you may like brighter subjects on A54 whereas pixel 6a keeps it natural. A54 doesn't have HDR in videos to begin with, that rests your case. Lastly, Pixel 6a has better speakers due to its better bass and clarity. A54 is a bit louder, that's it.

What’s the comparison on battery life and does the pixel overheat?

Of course, you made this video a few months ago but, I would like to see the A54 up against the pixel 7A. They are both decent mid-range devices but, I would still pass them by for the OnePlus Nord 3. The Nord 3 is a beast of a mid-range device. It would be nice if they introduced a United States model.

@@eleh1337 unfortunately, the Google pixel 7A has that crappy tensor G2 chipset. That is essentially an overhyped Samsung exynos processor. They are well-known for lacking in power efficiency and they tend to overheat at times. Of course, the Samsung Galaxy A54 is also cursed with a Samsung exynos processor. This is where oneplus has them beat again. Both devices that I mentioned in my comment have much better processors.

Pixel 6a at 299 is a steal. Especially with a trade in. Exceptional value and performance.

I would pick the A54 simply because the screen is bigger. I don't want a tiny screen.

I order the pixel 6A 3 days ago on the google store even got it $100 less. Well i am returning it because the fingerprint is just soooo bad. gonna buy another samsung

Yeah unfortunately that was one of the worst fingerprint scanners from Google, luckily the newer ones are better plus they have face unlock.

You can buy A54 now for $375 and believe it's worth over-paid $75-100 instead Pixel 6a!!! I have a Pixel 6a and my wife has A52 5G, Pixel 6a is a piece of sh...., don't buy it! The main issue with Pixel is (First)battery drain fast, the (Second)battery charge very slowly 3X times slower than Samsung, and (Third) the screen is not bright in daytime light as Samsung! I bought Pixel for $299 and it's not worth this amount of money, definitely, my next phone won't be a Pixel!!!

​@@ola171 sorry don't have an answer for this question cuz didn't record a long video, I had a couple of times when I took pics, I take a lot of pics for work, I live in Florida so when outside was 90 degrees both phones get notification overheating, I think any phone would have it when 90 degrees

Actually, you're just paying for the camera and software of the Pixel, other than that, Samsung is better.

@@karmjitsingh3474 wouldn't say, Samsung's camera isn't worse than pixel at all, software haven't seen the difference, for example on the pixel right now the sound of notifications time to time changes for the default ringtone by itself don't know why and I have to restart the phone to get it back, wouldn't say the software is perfect! Fingerprint scanner is better on the pixel! I talk about A52 5G! The A54 should be much better than the A52!

A54 better..Pixel charge slower battery die sooner display is dull n dark,network coverage issue,overheating..Its really makes me live in pain.Waiting for my a54 arriving sooner..
