I was one of the "lucky" ones who bought my Pixel 6 thru Google, unlocked, and had ALL the updates successfully. I have had NO issues (other than registering my same fingerprint a couple of times to get that to work; however, I also have the phone paired with my Fitbit so that it is unlocked per my home location and Fitbit). The December one came and no problems; and now I have thru my Carrier and Google the January update (a bit back), also with no problems. I run NOVA 7 Launcher, but have the Pixel as backup, switching to it to do wallpapers/colors, etc., then back to NOVA. I feel the 6 is a fine deal per the money, and am quite happy with it. Thanks for your coverage over time.

Watching this on my pixel 6 and I really appreciate how I don't need to "zoom" in the video to fill the screen. These videos are crisp on all levels 🔥

I just got my pixel 6 yesterday (in Hungary) and I absolutely love it!

I wish the "smaller" Pixel would actually be compact at around 5.8 inches like the Pixel 5 which had the best size ever. I also want my Headphone Jack back...

Wow, that battery life difference at 3:10 is crazy! I went with the non-pro 6 partly because of the battery life tests. Also glad to hear the display was something you did not miss after switching.

My son has the Pro. I do envy the display on the pro, it's gorgeous..happy with my 6 tho

I have had very few issues with the Pixel 6 other than general UI inconsistencies within Android 12. It does kind of cheapen the experience when Google, the provider of Android can't even get the UI to look right all of the time. The keyboard occasionally persists on the home screen, and occasionally the keyboard appears crunched. Not to mention the fact that often if you change the wallpaper the auto theme doesn't change color to the new extracted colors from it.

God, the graphics and b-roll this channel pumps out are beautiful! I’m going to switch from iPhone, and I’m going to 6 Pro, I just loooove those glossy rails!

Great video mate I absolutely love my Pixel 6 it's been the best device I've owned in years. It makes me wish I started using Pixel devices sooner even if they weren't as polished as the 6.

@@ivy4tres loving it. So much faster and smoother. Disappointed a bit in some things I was having problems with my 2XL are still there, but turns out it’s my fat fingers that’s the problem haha. And like everyone said, finger print reader is shit but doesn’t bother me that much.

I currently switched over to the p6pro when I had my lg v30 for 5 years. Jesus man what a difference. The shipping took long but over all the phone has given me no issues whatsoever and has been the fastest device I've ever owned to date.

These videos never disappoints!

I really love the presentation of the video. The shots are awesome. It really shows how much efforts he puts in to make such great videos for us !

I've rooted my Pixel 6 thanks mostly to your video and it has totally changed my life (phone wise anyways lol). I've been able to fix nearly every minor issue I'd been having with android 12 and turn this thing into a near perfect device. Using quickswitch, hiding my navbar, more volume steps, repainter for custom colours, the whole works. I think the only thing I'm waiting on is for lawnchair 12 to add more features because it's awfully bare, and I can't even set individual app icons? Either way, thanks a million.

@@keithsherwin64 if you know how to , yes. Sam has a video on how to make it work. Also , if it's unlocked you might wanna consider something like proton aosp(a custom rom) . Its supposed to be smoother and perform better. It has a few more customisation, and best part is , it has everything working out of the box. And you can go back if you don't like it(btw there's other custom roms too for other things like customisations etc. I would suggest to read on about this on XDA

On my 3rd day with the pixel 6, from an s21+, and this phone is so much better. The software just feels amazing compared to one UI. There's no difference between 90 and 120hz and the battery life is absolutely amazing. Yesterday I got over 8 hours of sot with some mk mobile and clash of clans, downloading thousands of songs on Spotify and watching lots of KZread. The camera has been more than enough, telephoto doesn't make a difference for me.

Verizon was charging $100 more for the pixel 6 so it was only a $200 jump from the 6 to the 6 pro, that's too close in price to not get the pro version for me.

I've had it for a month now and I do not have that issue. I will say that KZread gets laggy after a few hours of shorts (I know, I need help), but I think it's a KZread issue moreso than a Pixel issue. I really haven't had any major issues at all. I have also gotten used to the size despite previously swearing that I would never own a phone over 6".

I recently switched from the Pixel 6, to the Pixel 6 Pro. I'm quite happy with the slightly bigger display, I was afraid that curved would be a disturbance, but no (actually they make back swipe gestures a bit more organic). I can't keep my hands of it, But all in all, it's definitely more of the same.

@@MadiKabiden The regular has been my daily driver for Almost a month. Unless you go play intensive games for hours, the battery is really good. It's my 3rd day with the pro, and quite frankly they seem to equate each other

@@MadiKabiden its been great for me, have not had a single day where I come home to no charge, but I always have a way to charge it atleast each 2 hours if I wanted, but hardly need too, and I use the 120hz most of the time, im spoiled by my 144hz monitors

Regarding battery life, can you get the 6 pro but then set the refresh to 90hz so that you can really benefit from that bigger battery? This is what I'd hopefully be doing when I get one.

That should definitely improve battery life

I got mine from T-moble..I had zero issues..The fingerprint sensor is mediocre but, not a problem for me...I work from home and smart unlock means it's always open. I love the Pixel 6..no complaints at all.

Great vid. I agree as I'm watching on my pixel 6.

I can live with the inferior selfie camera as I've gotten pretty good at simply turning the phone around and using the main sensor and since there's the wide angle it gives some extra cushion with the needing to guess with the pointing and shooting. The lack of a telephoto lens on the other hand...that hurts. I don't think I can justify getting the bigger and more expensive phone just for the telephoto but damn I'mma miss it! Come on Google, I'm ok with all the other trade-offs but next time let us have the telephoto lens!

I agree, for the markup for almost 400 Dollars (And also Euros - no difference there for some reason) its just not that worth it. It seems the 6 Pro just outshines its Pro version in the most key aspects by far, which is a bummer, but also a blessing since it saves you 300 Buckeroonies. Nice. Thank you for this very entertaining and very honest review.

I have a Pixel 6 Pro and an iPhone 12 Pro max, in my opinion the the Pixel matches the the iPhone and I like using both although the the Pixel has had a few bugs along the way.

You're lucky to even have this phone, I pre-ordered the 6Pro on October 22nd (two days after it became available to preorder) and I am yet to receive it, the delivery date just keeps being pushed back, and back and back. Initially it was December 2nd, now it's February 3rd. No amount of complaining gets me anywhere, its a stock issue apparently. I just have to question how many people have received their phones when I was in on the bottom floor of preordering and am yet to get the damn phone. At this point I am definitely not going to cancel the order, mainly because I am real curious as to how long it will actually take (and I have a case/protectors sitting here for it).

probably a signifigant amaount. I have been running on adaptive 120hz and have little to no battery issues at all

Got a pixel 6 on Swappa from a Well know KZreadr Only issue was battery draining fast on mobile network standby After January update battery is awesome

The Seafoam is the real reason you chose the regular 6. Don't lie!! 🤣🤣

It's not just the refresh rate affecting battery, it's also display size but especially almost double the pixel density: 2,5M vs 4,3M pixel.

yeah, what he failed to mention was the 1440p screen on the pro, I have it, and havent had a single issue with my battery dying once yet, but it definently squeezes more power, thank god for the larger battery

The regular 6 is such a good deal price wise, really makes the difference. Saving money over 2 years for more important things than just a phone which are all the same every year anyway
