@@jvtechtea You can actually take ultrawide photos with the pixel 4a using photosphere, it requires quite a bit of patience and I recommend doing this in landscape mode, not portrait. Taking ultrawide indoor shots might be an issue for the Pixel 4a, definitely not outside.

Hope you saved for a 4a, bro. I was really on the fence between the 4a, Poco X3, and OnePlus Nord. Im honestly really glad with what I went with though. I'm absolutely loving the stock Android experience, I was kinda worried about Chinese OEM software tbh. Granted, this is a huge syepuo from my Moto E5 play lmao.

LOL! I have the bamboo skin on an iPhone 6s Plus. Currently waiting for my Pixel 4a to ship. I ordered it alongside the grip case but this time went with the gray carbon fiber skin which looks pretty minimalist and stealthy with the black of the case and phone. But the bamboo looks nice on it too.

Interesting that the phone will dial back some camera features when the temperature gets too high. The Pixel 4 had the Snapdragon 855 and the Neural Core to help with live HDR, highlight and shadow sliders and speed up to overall processing. The 4a needs to offload all that to just the 730g. TBH, I am glad that they decided to keep all those features even if it means some temperature management.

I'm thinking about getting the Nord because if all the other features, but this is definitely the best camera at this price point.

Hey Josh, very good review. Wow, Google's computational photography is 🔥. Definitely a flagship 📷 in a phone that costs a measly 349.00 bucks USD. Compact & lightweight, luv the polycarbonate build quality as opposed to the glass sandwich. OLED, the jack stereo speakers. Yep, with 6gigs of ram & 128gb's of storage make this 4a a no-brainer especially at this price!

What Megaman X game are you playing?

I just got my Pixel 4a and tried to turn on my HDR in the Camera mode. It was not there under the Flash Off, Adaptive, ON drop-down. Also HDR + Control settings is not in the Gear --> Advanced settings. My new Pixel came with Android 11 already installed. Does your version from 2 months ago have that feature and settings? My 2xl had that feature. Thanks.

How much time of continuous usage of camera forces the app to dial back on those features? I request you to replicate situation once and see if the general performance and multitasking is still manageable during this time. Also, pls try photo sphere/panaroma and comment on its usability as an alternative for wide angle camera in your full review.
