I am glad to hear that you enjoyed both of my videos! I have been traveling for work, so unfortunately, I have not been able to work on my next idea. However, I fly back home tomorrow, and look forward to my next video. Keep an eye out for it in the next 2-4 weeks I would say.

I have ridden both trains and only used the Pennsylvanian when I traveled between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. I do hope they decide to add a second train from Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. I would prefer to arrive earlier in Pittsburgh and the proposed schedule you showed does provide for an earlier arrival time. By the way NS gets a bad reputation but one time for my eastbound run the train left Pittsburgh late due to waiting for connecting passengers off the Capitol Ltd. On the trip east NS did a great dispatching job and we made up,a lot of time to Harrisburg. Then Amtrak did the same and while we arrived Philadelphia late it was not more than 30 minutes late.

Thank you very much for sharing your experience John! I think that adding a second Pennsylvanian service would be great for establishing a better through-car connection with the Capitol Limited as well. It seems that the Capitol Limited service will not be altered, nor its timetable, which is a shame, but our best hope is for another Pennsylvanian. There is also a discussion that one of the Pennsylvanians will continue to terminate in Cleveland. This would establish a stronger connection between Pittsburgh and Cleveland, giving two different Amtrak service options.
