Спорт

On his daily First 10 podcast, Post-Gazette sports columnist Jason Mackey reacts to the Pirates' 11-5 loss to the Cincinnati Reds on Monday night. Are Bailey Falter's June struggles a sign of what's to come from him? Or can he turn them around? And does the bullpen have enough depth behind David Bednar, Aroldis Chapman and Colin Holderman?
Jason tackles those topics, recaps his column about Willie Mays' Pittsburgh ties and reacts to the Florida Panthers winning the Stanley Cup, but the Edmonton Oilers' Connor McDavid winning the Conn Smythe trophy as playoffs MVP.

Falter is, who we thought he was. He had a few good games, but nothing to get excited about. Martin Perez will be back by this weekend.

No I don’t think falter is losing it. He might come down from his good start a little but they have to many vacant positions going on (CF, RF, 3rd, 1st, and catcher) to be a real contender.
