I can't express how much Jim's playstyle has changed how I try to play. Letting the game be fun and just rolling with it has made my game nights way more enjoyable. I'm still not quite as chill as Jim but I aspire to be.

In casual, I think this is what EVERYONE should be doing. But NOOOO, people get so salty when you don't focus all of your energy on "the threat".

The trick with path of discovery works even better with embalmer's tools! You get to tap your tokens to mill one per zombie token, and then do it all over when they untap! Obviously having both is even better

Excellent show by excellent folks! The group dynamic of The Spike Feeders is something very special indeed and I'm glad y'all share it with us.

Unless my math is wrong ( which it could be) I think Jim should have won this. He missed triggers from the Kederekt Parasite while Tor Wauki was in play and while the Parasite was equipped with the Basilisk Collar before Madison stole it Jim should have been gaining life from those pings of damage. I think that last draw step Madison had when she went for lethal combat should have killed her from the Parasite.

I am a simple commander player. I see Pirates, I click the button

Jim gives the parasite lifelink to try and stay in the game, only to miss all lifelink triggers. :)

The admiral is my all time favourite commander, always brings joy seeing people play her! Sadly she always gets shut down so fast, i guess with all the stealing and plundering it is hard to make friends at the table

Great match, nice sidisi sinergy and mono blue kraken, Leviathan, serpent deck, how not to love that

I wonder if Sean is aware of the implications of a shirt with an upside down pineapple in certain circles.

So cool to see Meekstone have an impact.

I'm a bit sad that Jerry didnt have enough time to hoard all the rings.

That gravecrawler shouldn't have untapped after the meekstone hit the board. I noticed shortly after it was used to attack and then untapped on the next turn. The lord gave it +1/+1 thus making it a 3/2. In the end didn't make much difference.

Jerry is out here throwing kill spells at non-threatening targets while Rakdos drain is casually doing murders

Jim, you forgot your commander has First Strike so the ghoul having deathtouch doesn’t matter cause it can’t hit your commander anyway

I was a bit sad that Jim didn't make the kobold in response to the Treasure Cruise to get parasite triggers off those three cards (or the three more draws that came off the subsequent Brainstorm)

Missed lifegain: Jim equipped Kederekt Parasite with Basilisk Collar at 36:00 but the subsequent 3 triggers did not tick up his life total. This would have put him at 15 life, with the final attack for 13 he should have survived at 2. (Likely Maddy still wins but hey)

I thought he missed some too, but he did not have a red permanent on board which is needed for the parasite to trigger

16:23 and earlier Shouldnt tor wauki actually do 3 damage as his "Cast non permanent do 2 damage" gets modded by his First paragraph of text to do One more? It is not combat damage after all.... And i have seen some of the comments about kederekt and this is kinda along those lines too i guess
