Commercial fusion energy will require strong magnetic fields to confine and control the plasma. In our next spherical tokamak we will use ground-breaking high temperature superconducting (HTS) tape which generates stronger magnetic fields, takes up less space and requires less cooling power.

Making a plasma confinement reactor and making a commercial fusion reactor are not the same thing. They are different machines. At 100,000,000 K there are no physical conditions for nuclear fusion. Interesting to know that the Tokamak design has been known since the before 1980 ....why so long ....???
