I know I have mentioned that I have an SX-6000. Most of my lights were out so I bought a whole light kit on eBay. I made speaker plugs from outlet plugs. I did a recap of all boards except the am, fm and multiplex boards. They were a pain to access. I also left those two big 4 pin black caps on the amp board. I replaced a bunch of transistors. It sounds good but sometimes gives me a little static at power on/off. I don't use Deoxit (I don't dislike it). I use CRC QD to clean and CRC 2-26 for lubrication. No problems so far.

I used to use CRC, but Menards (closest to me) sells the WD-40 cleaner so I opt for it instead.

I only use D5 on switches...CRC or WD40 contact cleaner first, then Faderlup...or just Faderlube.

I have a question about the pioneer 6000. I have mine opened up and the screwing bulbs at the tuning and the strength meter has one of the oddest connections I’ve ever seen. They’re just like two rubber washers that somehow stick up close to the ball but I don’t see what holds them there and how it would ever work like that And stereo has only two yellow wires. One goes to a capacitor and the other one goes to a silver post. I am assuming the one with the capacitor is the positive thanks for any info. I appreciate it.

Unfortunately I don't have a 6000 to look at. Your best bet is to open a thread on Audiokarma.
